Is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover a good car?

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover earns an expert rating of 7.7/10.

The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

It stands out for blending refinement, competitive interior space, towing capacity, and standard all-wheel drive with multiple powertrain options. The trade-offs are its unintuitive user interface and poor value for money, so you’re paying for capability, cachet, and luxury rather than bargain pricing. If you want a luxury SUV that emphasizes presence and versatility, it fits that brief well. The market reflects that appeal, with 34.0% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover reliable?

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover is presented as a sophisticated SUV with standard all-wheel drive and a broad powertrain lineup, but it also carries the complexity that comes with a highly engineered luxury vehicle. Its performance setup includes an eight-speed automatic, four-wheel drive, and a range of engines, which supports its capability-focused character.

The available plug-in hybrid adds an electric-range advantage, and the base turbo-six is rated at up to 21 mpg combined. Land Rover also includes four-year/50,000-mile warranty and roadside assistance coverage, which helps with early ownership peace of mind.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that this is still a complex, high-end SUV, so upkeep can be more demanding than on simpler alternatives.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Land Rover Range Rover?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a vehicle this expensive and feature-rich. Focus on whether the cabin electronics, driver aids, and suspension systems operate cleanly, since those are the kinds of systems that matter most in daily use. Condition matters a lot here because the Range Rover’s appeal depends heavily on refinement and equipment working as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: SE, Autobiography, and SV are the named trim levels, and the base SE comes with 21-inch wheels while Autobiography and SV get 22-inch wheels. The long-wheelbase three-row model is only available as an SE or Autobiography, while the two-row long-wheelbase version is only available in Autobiography or SV spec.
• Powertrain: You can choose a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with a mild hybrid system rated at 395 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque, a plug-in hybrid version with 543 hp and 406 lb-ft, or a BMW-sourced twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 with 523 hp and 553 lb-ft in SE and Autobiography models and 606 hp and 553 lb-ft in SV form.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assistance features include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, a driver attention monitor, adaptive cruise control with steering assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera system. Land Rover doesn’t offer a more advanced hands-free system, so the standard suite is the ceiling here.
• Infotainment: All models come with a 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.1-inch touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 35-speaker Meridian audio system with active noise cancellation is available on Autobiography and SV models, and the system leans heavily on the touchscreen rather than physical controls.
• Fuel efficiency: The base turbo-six achieves up to 21 mpg combined, with 19 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. The plug-in hybrid offers 53 miles of electric range, while V8 models are rated at 19 mpg combined in standard tune and 18 mpg combined in SV spec.

Which 2025 Land Rover Range Rover trim should I buy?

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover is offered in 3 trim levels: SE, Autobiography, and SV.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, but it still brings the core Range Rover experience with standard all-wheel drive, the 13.1-inch touchscreen, the 13.7-inch digital gauge cluster, and the standard driver-assistance suite. It makes the most sense if you want the Range Rover name and capability without chasing the highest sticker price.
• Autobiography: This is the best-value trim if you want a richer luxury experience, since it adds access to more upscale equipment and is available in both standard and long-wheelbase configurations. It also gets the larger standard 22-inch wheels, which helps it feel more premium.
• SV: This is the top-end choice for buyers who want the most exclusive version and the strongest available powertrain. It is the trim to consider if you care most about prestige and maximum performance-oriented hardware rather than value.

The standard safety package is comprehensive, but Land Rover does not offer a more advanced hands-free driving system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Land Rover Range Rover?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough price softness to create opportunities.

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,054 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.47% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $111,897, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover's resale value?

The current average of $111,897 sits slightly below last year's $135,584.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more selectively now. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim because the model’s desirability is being balanced by softer pricing. If you keep the vehicle well maintained and avoid heavy wear, you’ll be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover safe?

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover does not have crash-test ratings listed here.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, a driver attention monitor, adaptive cruise control with steering assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera system. That gives you a solid baseline of protection and convenience, but Land Rover does not offer a more advanced hands-free driving system. The parking aids can also be a little intrusive, and the camera view does not always appear automatically when you need it.

Should I buy a 2025 Land Rover Range Rover or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.47% compared with last year.
• The 2025 model keeps the Range Rover formula focused on refinement, competitive interior space, towing capacity, and standard all-wheel drive.

The bottom line: If you want the current Range Rover formula and can take advantage of softer pricing, the 2025 is the straightforward choice. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2025 gives you the same core luxury-and-capability mix with a market that is currently more favorable to shoppers.
