Is the 2025 Kia Soul a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Kia Soul earns a 5/5 user rating, which lines up with its practical, value-conscious appeal. The overview describes it as a subcompact hatchback with quirky styling, lots of room inside, and a strong focus on affordability and everyday usefulness. It also highlights broader third-generation improvements in technology, safety, power, and convenience, including a larger touchscreen on certain trims and available driver-assist features. For you, that means the Soul makes the most sense if you want a small vehicle with personality, usable space, and modern features rather than a luxury feel or sporty character. Good and great deals account for 36.8% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Kia Soul reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The overview points to a practical, easy-to-live-with design and broader third-generation improvements that helped add comfort, space, and convenience. It also emphasizes that the Soul is built around usefulness and value rather than complexity or flash, which is often a good fit for used-car shoppers who want straightforward ownership. For a used buyer, the main long-term risk is less about the concept and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and checked carefully before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia Soul?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still confirm the history report yourself so you can spot prior damage, title issues, or inconsistent ownership records. Put the inspection first on body condition, interior wear, tires, brakes, and any signs that the car has been used harder than the listing suggests. Because the Soul’s value proposition depends on being practical and affordable, you want a clean example that still feels well cared for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Soul?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,825 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.47% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,908, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Soul's resale value?

The current average of $18,858 sits slightly below last year's $20,831.

That price movement suggests the market has become a bit softer, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also mean resale gains are limited in the near term. If you plan to sell later, the Soul’s value will likely depend on how well you preserve condition, mileage, and maintenance history. Its practical packaging and broad appeal should help keep it relevant with budget-minded shoppers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Soul or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2025 if you want the latest version of the Soul’s practical, quirky formula and you can find a clean, fairly priced example. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2025 still looks attractive because it combines strong user satisfaction with a softer market and a decent amount of deal availability.
