Is the 2025 Kia Soul a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Kia Soul earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The Soul stands out because it blends quirky styling with real practicality, offering lots of room inside while still feeling affordable and value-conscious. It is aimed at shoppers who want something small but useful, and it also brings broader improvements in technology, safety, power, and convenience for this model year. For you, that means a compact vehicle with personality, useful space, and a strong value proposition rather than a luxury or performance focus. There are 33.3% good or great deals in the market, which suggests you can still find attractive pricing if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Kia Soul reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2025 Kia Soul is described as practical, easy to live with, and improved through the third generation’s updates to comfort, interior space, technology, and convenience. Kia also notes a new chassis and a longer wheelbase and body, which support the model’s everyday usability. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been well maintained and checked thoroughly before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia Soul?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still review the history report carefully and confirm there are no hidden accident or title issues. Put the inspection first, especially on a used compact that may have seen heavy daily use, and pay close attention to overall condition, interior wear, and how well the vehicle’s practical features work. Because the Soul’s appeal is tied to value and usability, a clean, well-kept example matters more than chasing the lowest sticker price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Soul?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,770 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.27% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,902, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Soul's resale value?

The current average of $18,809 sits slightly below last year's $20,731.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. Even so, the Soul’s practical packaging and value-focused appeal can help it stay relevant with budget-minded shoppers. If you keep the vehicle in clean condition and avoid accident history, you improve your odds of holding onto more of its value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Soul or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better primary choice if you want the latest version of the Soul’s practical, quirky formula and you can take advantage of the softer pricing. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but you should prioritize a clean history and strong condition over chasing the absolute lowest asking price.
