Is the 2025 Kia Soul a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Kia Soul earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview describes it as a subcompact hatchback with a lot of space inside and a lot of standard features across trims, and that combination is central to its appeal if you want something practical and value-conscious. It also emphasizes the Soul’s quirky, boxy personality and its ability to deliver more character than the average hatchback. With 35.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Kia Soul reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview also notes that the 2025 Soul sits in its third generation, which brought a new chassis, more current technology, and more safety and convenience features. It adds that Kia introduced a new 2.0-liter inline-four with 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque, along with a broader set of driver-assist features. At the same time, the buying guide points to some reliability and recall concerns, so you should treat maintenance records and recall completion as important parts of your evaluation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia Soul?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report to confirm accident status, title status, and whether recall work has been completed. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for signs of deferred maintenance, uneven wear, or any issues tied to prior repairs. Because the overview highlights both practicality and some reliability concerns, condition and service history matter more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Soul?

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,720 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.65% compared with last year.

What is the 2025 Kia Soul's resale value?

The current average of $18,876 sits slightly below last year's $20,664.

That price movement suggests the Soul has become a bit more buyer-friendly in the used market, which can make it easier for future sellers to attract attention if they price competitively. The current range also gives you a clearer sense of where demand is landing, with the low end offering a stronger value target and the high end leaving room for better-equipped examples. If you buy well now and keep the car in good condition, you should have a reasonable path to resale later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Soul or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better pick if you want the latest version of the Soul’s practical, space-efficient formula and you value a market that has softened enough to create some negotiating room. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2025 gives you a strong mix of inventory, deal availability, and owner satisfaction.
