How much does the 2025 Jeep Wrangler cost?

Prices have softened 16.21% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,728 listings available, which gives you a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4/5 user rating and a 5.3/10 expert rating, so it lands as a niche buy rather than a broad-appeal one. The model scores 7/10 across Performance and Technology.

The data points to a vehicle built around iconic looks, legendary off-road ability, and a rough, raw character that favors adventure over polish. It also gives you two-door or four-door body styles, three engines, and seven trim levels, so you can tailor it more than many rivals.

The trade-offs are clear: noise, poor ride quality, and poor value for money. If you want a vehicle that feels purpose-built for getting dirty, the removable top and doors are a major part of the appeal.

Good and great deals account for 34.6% of listings, which suggests you can still shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Wrangler’s appeal is rooted in durability-minded simplicity and a design that prioritizes function over form. The expert notes also point to standard four-wheel drive, high ground clearance, generous approach and departure angles, and a relatively narrow width, all of which support its go-anywhere mission.

On the performance side, the turbocharged four-cylinder is described as a fine powerplant aside from its nasal idle note and loud cooling fan. The model also gets standard power windows and door locks this year, which adds a little everyday usability.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Wrangler’s rugged mission can come with more wear-and-tear exposure than a typical commuter SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Jeep Wrangler?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the vehicle has been used off pavement or heavily modified. Focus on roof, door, and interior condition, since this model’s appeal often depends on removable components and open-air use. It’s also smart to verify which convenience and safety options are installed, because equipment varies a lot by trim.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport trim is the base version, while Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, and Rubicon 392 add progressively more equipment and capability. The base trim is the one most likely to leave out the convenience and safety features you may want.
• Powertrain: You can choose among three engines, including a 3.6-liter V6, a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, and a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 in the Rubicon 392. The turbo four-cylinder is marginally more fuel-efficient than the V6, while the V6 can save you money up front.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on any Wrangler except the base Sport trim. Forward collision warning with automatic braking requires the Sahara, and adaptive cruise control plus automatic high beams are also available.
• Infotainment: The Uconnect 5 system includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio preparation. More expensive models can add navigation and Jeep Connect connected services.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged four-cylinder is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving, compared with 19-20 mpg for the V6.

Which 2025 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 7 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, Rubicon 392.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it’s the most stripped-down choice and the one most likely to leave you wanting more convenience and safety equipment.
• Sport S: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds a more usable mix of everyday features while staying closer to the Wrangler’s core mission.
• Willys: Choose this if you want a more rugged personality and off-road flavor without jumping all the way to the pricier upper trims.
• Sahara: This is the trim to target if you want the safety-package upgrade path, including forward collision warning with automatic braking.
• Rubicon: Pick this if off-road capability is your priority and you want the more serious trail-focused setup.
• Rubicon X: This is the more premium off-road choice for buyers who want the Rubicon character with extra equipment.
• Rubicon 392: This is the performance flagship, with the 470-horsepower V8 and a six-figure price tag.

The safety package is not standard on most trims, so you should verify the exact driver-assistance equipment on any used example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Jeep Wrangler?

The market looks moderate and selective, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,728 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.21% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,624, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $35,624 sits slightly below last year's $42,514.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, that also means your resale outcome will depend heavily on condition, trim, and equipment rather than just model-year age.

Because the Wrangler has strong identity and broad enthusiast appeal, well-kept examples should continue to draw attention. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler safe?

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler earns a Good rating in side-impact protection and a Good rating in the updated moderate overlap frontal-impact test from IIHS, while NHTSA gives it a four-star frontal-impact rating and a three-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

The Wrangler’s safety story is mixed because advanced driver-assistance systems are limited and often optional. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on any Wrangler except the base Sport trim, while forward collision warning with automatic braking requires the Sahara and an automatic transmission.

Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality and automatic high-beam headlights are also available, but not every used example will have them. The small overlap frontal-impact test result is a notable caveat, since the Wrangler tipped onto its side and received a Marginal rating.

Should I buy a 2025 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• This year adds standard power windows and door locks, plus the V6/automatic drivetrain returns.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $36,329, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $35,624 average.
• It adds a more modern feel and broader appeal through updated technology, safety, and refinement.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds an enhanced hinge system that makes the doors easier to remove.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better primary target if you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory, and classic Wrangler character. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2024 can still make sense if you value its refreshed feel, while the 2026 is worth a look if easier door removal matters to you.

How does the 2025 Jeep Wrangler compare to the 2025 Ford Bronco?

2025 Jeep Wrangler:

• Pros: Fun to drive, Impressive off-roading capability, Removable top and doors.
• Cons: Noisy, Poor ride quality, Poor value for money.

2025 Ford Bronco:

• Pros: Stylish design, Fun to drive, Impressive off-road capability.
• Cons: Poor fuel economy, Advanced safety features are not standard, Poor value for money.

Our experts score the 2025 Jeep Wrangler 5.3/10 and the 2025 Ford Bronco 6.8/10. The Bronco comes across as the more refined and better-scoring choice, while the Wrangler leans harder into raw character and open-air appeal. If you want the stronger overall expert verdict and a more polished off-road rival, the Bronco is the one to beat.
