overall

Summary
With 5,889 currently listed for sale and an average price of $37,057, 33.8% of 2025 Jeep Wranglers for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 5.33 / 10.
94.9% of 2025 Wrangler models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2025 Jeep Wrangler stands out because it stays true to the formula that made it famous: iconic looks and legendary off-road ability. It is also unusually configurable, with two-door or four-door body styles, three engines, and seven trim levels. For 2025, all Wrangler models have standard power windows and door locks, the V6/automatic drivetrain returns to the lineup, and new colors include ’41, Mojito, and Joose.
That rugged character is a big part of the appeal. The Wrangler is fun to drive and impressive off-road, and its removable top and doors make it feel unlike most other vehicles on the road. It is also built for getting dirty, with drain holes in the floor so it can be hosed out. The tradeoff is that it remains noisy, rides poorly, and can be unpleasant to drive every day, so it is best suited to buyers who value adventure over refinement.

As a previous owner of a CJ7, and later a 1999 Wrangler, the 2025 Wrangler is very different. The clutch is feather light compared to any standard transmission I’ve ever driven. I love the ability to integrate my phone etc.. the Alpine stereo sounds good. The removable T top model sounds tight going down the road… Very little noise. The steering is easy yet responsive. The seats are comfortable and fit well even though I’m only 5’2” and my husband 6’1”. I wish the clutch were a bit more firm. But I’m sure I will get used to it and even prefer it overtime.

Really cool small SUV! I love the Utilitarian feel and aspect. Road noise wasn’t as bad as I expected and highway feel has change drastically over the years. Lots of power for its size with that V6

How much does the 2025 Jeep Wrangler cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $37,007 |
| Year-Round Low | $37,007 |
| Year-Round High | $44,914 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $44,926 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −17.63% |
Prices have softened 17.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 5,869 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable range of choices.
Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler a good car?
Generally — the 2025 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4/5 user rating and a 5.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Performance and Technology.
The Wrangler’s appeal comes from its iconic looks, removable top and doors, and strong off-road focus. It is also unusually configurable, with two-door and four-door body styles, three engines, and seven trim levels.
The trade-offs are clear: it remains noisy, rides poorly, and can be unpleasant to drive every day. That makes it a better fit if you value adventure and capability more than refinement.
35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler reliable?
Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.
The Wrangler’s rugged design and off-road focus are part of its identity, and the expert evaluation describes it as a vehicle that is continually evolving while staying true to its core formula. It also emphasizes that the Wrangler is built to get dirty and can be hosed out, which reinforces its durability-minded character.
The turbocharged four-cylinder is described as a fine powerplant, and the V6/manual setup gives you a lower-cost path into the lineup. If you want a used Wrangler, long-term ownership risk is mostly about accepting its rough-road manners and checking that prior use hasn’t worn down the hardware that makes it special.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Jeep Wrangler?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the Wrangler has seen trail use or heavy modification. Focus on the condition of the roof, doors, underbody, suspension, and interior surfaces, since this model is designed to get dirty and wet.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The lineup ranges from Sport to Rubicon 392, and the base Sport is the one most likely to leave you wanting more. Higher trims add more equipment, while the Sport S in particular can be a better starting point if you want more everyday convenience.
- Powertrain: You can choose between a 3.6-liter V6 with a six-speed manual or a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic. The four-cylinder makes 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, and it is described as marginally more fuel-efficient with 21 mpg in combined driving versus 19-20 mpg for the V6.
- Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on every trim except the base Sport. Forward collision warning with automatic braking requires the Sahara, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go is available on models with an automatic transmission.
- Infotainment: The Uconnect 5 system includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and SiriusXM satellite radio preparation. Navigation and Jeep Connect connected services are available on more expensive models.
- Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged engine is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving, while the V6 returns 19-20 mpg.
Which 2025 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?
The 2025 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 7 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, and Rubicon 392.
Here's the short version:
- Sport: This is the entry point, but it is also the trim most likely to feel stripped down if you want more convenience or safety equipment.
- Sport S: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday usability and can be paired with useful options like the Active Safety Group.
- Willys: Choose this if you want a more rugged-leaning setup without jumping all the way to the pricier off-road-focused trims.
- Sahara: This is the trim to target if you want forward collision warning with automatic braking as standard.
- Rubicon: This is the clear choice if your priority is serious trail capability.
- Rubicon X: This is the more upscale off-road choice if you want a higher-end version of the Rubicon formula.
- Rubicon 392: This is the extreme performance-oriented version, with a 470-horsepower 6.4-liter Hemi V8 and a six-figure price tag.
Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on every trim except the base Sport, while forward collision warning with automatic braking requires the Sahara.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Jeep Wrangler?
This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.
- Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 5,869 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 17.63% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 94.7% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $37,007, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?
The current average of $37,007 sits slightly below last year's $44,926.
That drop suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on trim, condition, and how well the Wrangler has been maintained.
Because the Wrangler has strong brand appeal and a loyal audience, well-kept examples should still attract attention. The biggest resale advantage will likely go to versions with desirable equipment and clean history.
Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2025 Jeep Wrangler safe?
The 2025 Jeep Wrangler earns a four-star frontal-impact rating and a three-star rollover resistance rating from NHTSA, and IIHS rates it Good for side-impact protection and the updated moderate overlap frontal-impact test, with a Marginal result in the small overlap frontal-impact test.
It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.
The Wrangler’s standard safety setup includes side curtain airbags for the front and rear seats. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on every trim except the base Sport, while forward collision warning with automatic braking requires the Sahara. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go is also available on models with an automatic transmission.
The small overlap frontal-impact result is the main caveat to keep in mind, especially if safety is a top priority in your used-car search.
Should I buy a 2025 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 17.63% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
- It brings standard power windows and door locks, plus the return of the V6/automatic drivetrain.
Consider the 2024 if:
- At $37,924, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $37,007 average.
- It adds a mid-cycle refresh focused on technology, safety, and refinement.
Consider the 2026 if:
- It adds an enhanced hinge system that makes the doors easier to remove.
The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current pricing and broad availability, the 2025 is the smart default. If you are shopping strictly on price, the 2025 also looks stronger than the 2024. If you want the newest small usability update, the 2026 is worth a look, but the 2025 remains the better value play for most used buyers.
