Is the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L a good car?

The 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L stands out because it brings Jeep’s familiar blend of capability and premium features into a three-row package. It is especially appealing if you want a family SUV with a more upscale feel than many mainstream rivals while still keeping Jeep’s off-road identity intact.

The lineup also gives you flexibility, with trims that range from more affordable versions to luxury-oriented ones. Higher trims add fine leather, advanced technology, Active Driving Assist, and even a front passenger entertainment screen, so your experience can vary a lot depending on how the vehicle is equipped.

With 35.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful share of the market that may offer strong value if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L reliable?

The 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is a relatively new design, and Jeep’s approach here is clearly to offer capability, comfort, and technology in one package rather than chase the simplest or cheapest formula. That means you should expect a vehicle whose appeal is tied closely to trim and equipment level.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the experience can vary a lot by configuration, so a well-maintained example matters more than a bare-bones one.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific listing matches the equipment and drivetrain you want. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-trim example with more technology and available four-wheel-drive hardware.

Focus on overall condition, service records, and whether the features you care about are actually present and functioning as advertised.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,936 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.77% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $38,679, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L's resale value?

The current average of $38,679 sits slightly below last year's $42,869.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently today. If you plan to sell later, the current softness means your future resale value will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and trim desirability.

Well-equipped, clean examples should hold up better than average, especially if they have the features shoppers in this segment tend to want.

Should I buy a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.77% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 is a strong choice if you want the current Grand Cherokee L formula with a broad spread of trims, premium features, and real Jeep character. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2025 looks like the better path when you want a newer used example with solid inventory and meaningful deal availability.
