How much does the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe cost?

Prices have softened 11.29% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,991 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating and 7.67/10 expert rating point to a strong overall case for you. The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe is positioned as a high-tech three-row crossover with bold styling, a longer wheelbase, and family-friendly feature content. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The trade-offs are that the design may not suit your taste, it is not the roomiest choice in its class, and top trims can get expensive. If you want a distinctive family SUV with lots of equipment and a modern feel, this model year fits that brief well.

The market also looks healthy, with 40.3% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. Hyundai backs the Santa Fe with a strong warranty, including 10 years or 100,000 miles of powertrain coverage and five years or 60,000 miles of limited warranty coverage, plus five years of roadside assistance with unlimited miles.

The expert notes also point to a stable, confidence-inspiring driving feel, with firm brakes and responsive steering. At the same time, you should expect some turbo lag and occasional hesitation from the transmission when you ask for quick power.

For used ownership, that means the Santa Fe looks like a solid bet, but you should still pay close attention to service history and how smoothly the drivetrain behaves on a test drive.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a top trim with more equipment to verify. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the electronics and driver-assistance features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Santa Fe is available in five trims: SE, SEL, XRT, Limited, and Calligraphy. The top Calligraphy trim swaps the second-row bench for captain’s chairs, while the XRT adds off-road-focused exterior treatment and black roof rails. Base-trim shoppers should pay attention to equipment gaps, since some convenience and driver-assistance features are reserved for higher trims.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with 277 horsepower and 311 lb.-ft. of torque, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic. FWD and AWD are available across the lineup except for the XRT, which is AWD only. The XRT also rides on 30-inch all-terrain tires and sits higher than the rest of the lineup.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, forward-collision avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, and safe exit assist. Rear parking collision avoidance assist, side park distance warning, and Highway Drive Assist are reserved for higher trims.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluelink app connectivity, and over-the-air updates. The top two trims add a digital gauge cluster of the same size, and upper trims can add features such as a Wi-Fi hotspot, Hyundai Pay, and a head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The ICE model is rated at 24 mpg combined with FWD or 23 mpg combined with AWD. The XRT returns 22 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe is offered in 5 trim levels: SE, SEL, XRT, Limited, and Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Santa Fe’s bold design and standard tech. It gives you the core family-SUV experience, but you should expect fewer comfort and convenience extras than the higher trims.
• SEL: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it balances equipment and price better than the others. It is the budget-minded choice in the lineup and should be your first stop if you want a well-equipped Santa Fe without pushing into expensive territory.
• XRT: Choose this if you want the more rugged-looking version with off-road-focused styling, black roof rails, and all-terrain tires. It is AWD only and sits higher than the rest of the lineup, but it is not a true rock-crawler.
• Limited: This trim is for you if you want a more premium feel and more of the upper-end tech and comfort content. It moves the Santa Fe closer to luxury-SUV territory, but pricing climbs quickly.
• Calligraphy: This is the top luxury-oriented trim, with the richest materials and the most available equipment. It also gets second-row captain’s chairs, but it is the most expensive path in the lineup.

For safety, note that the top trim adds blind spot avoidance, and the top two trims get the Blind-View Monitor.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe?

The market is leaning in your favor right now, with strong deal availability and a healthy supply of listings.

• Deal availability: 40.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,991 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.29% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $32,119, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe's resale value?

The current average of $32,119 sits slightly below last year's $36,205.

That softer pricing suggests the Santa Fe has already moved through a meaningful part of its depreciation curve, which can help future sellers if demand stays steady. The current market also shows that shoppers are still responding to the model’s mix of style, tech, and warranty coverage.

If you buy well now and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you should have a reasonable path to resale later. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe safe?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe earns four-star ratings overall from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, forward-collision avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, and safe exit assist. Higher trims add rear parking collision avoidance assist, side park distance warning, and Highway Drive Assist, while the top trim adds blind spot avoidance and the top two trims get the Blind-View Monitor.

One caveat to keep in mind is that IIHS headlight and LATCH results were rated Acceptable rather than Good, so you should pay attention to trim-specific lighting and child-seat needs.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 40.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.29% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It pairs bold styling with strong tech and a family-friendly feature set.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $30,682, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $32,119 average.
• The 2024 brings a full redesign with more space and standard third-row seating.

Consider the 2026 if:

• The 2026 adds a new transmission, more safety features, and minor equipment updates.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest market data and a strong mix of value, tech, and satisfaction, the 2025 is the primary path to consider. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2024 is the better price-sensitive alternative, while the 2026 makes sense if you want the newer updates and can stretch for them.
