How much does the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe cost?

Prices have softened 11.45% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,075 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The Santa Fe is aimed squarely at family use, with a longer wheelbase that gives it more interior space and a feature set that fits a three-row crossover. It also stands out for its bold styling, which gives it a more distinctive look than many traditional family SUVs.

The main trade-offs are that it is not the roomiest choice in its class and top trims can get expensive. If you want a family SUV with standout design and strong tech, it fits that brief well; if maximum cargo space is your priority, you should compare carefully.

39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Hyundai’s warranty coverage is a major reliability plus, with a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, a five-year/60,000-mile limited warranty, and five years of unlimited-mile roadside assistance. The Santa Fe also leans into practical family use with standard connectivity and over-the-air updates, which can help keep the vehicle current over time.

The performance notes point to a stable chassis, firm brake feel, and responsive steering, though turbo lag and occasional transmission hesitation are worth keeping in mind. For used buyers, the biggest long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about whether the specific vehicle has been maintained well and driven in a way that avoids wear from its more complex equipment.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a top trim with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the technology and driver-assistance features operate as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Santa Fe is available in five trims: SE, SEL, XRT, Limited, and Calligraphy. The base trim is the most stripped-down version, while upper trims add more comfort, convenience, and luxury features. The Calligraphy stands out with captain’s chairs in the second row instead of the standard bench.
• Powertrain: The standard setup is a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with 277 horsepower and 311 lb.-ft. of torque, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are available across the lineup except the XRT, which is AWD only.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, forward-collision avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, and safe exit assist. Rear parking collision avoidance assist, side park distance warning, and Highway Drive Assist are reserved for higher trims.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluelink app connectivity, and over-the-air updates. Only the top two trims get a digital gauge cluster of the same size.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA estimates 24 mpg combined for the front-wheel-drive gas model, 23 mpg combined with all-wheel drive, and 22 mpg combined for the XRT.

Which 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe is offered in 5 trim levels: SE, SEL, XRT, Limited, and Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable giving up some of the nicer comfort and convenience upgrades found higher up.
• SEL: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it balances equipment and price well, and it is the budget-minded choice called out in the test-drive notes.
• XRT: This is the off-road-focused trim, with 30-inch all-terrain tires, extra ground clearance, and AWD-only availability. It suits you if you want the most rugged-looking Santa Fe and plan to use it on dirt roads more than pavement.
• Limited: This trim is aimed at shoppers who want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay more for it.
• Calligraphy: This is the top luxury-leaning trim, with the most premium presentation, but it is also the most expensive.

The top trim gets blind spot avoidance, and the top two trims get the Blind-View Monitor.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,075 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.45% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,871, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe's resale value?

The current average of $31,871 sits slightly below last year's $35,992.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, trim desirability, and how well the vehicle is equipped.

Because the Santa Fe has strong tech, a distinctive design, and broad family appeal, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe safe?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe earns four-star ratings from NHTSA and Good ratings from IIHS, with Acceptable results in the headlight and LATCH categories.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, forward-collision avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, and safe exit assist. Higher trims add rear parking collision avoidance assist, side park distance warning, Highway Drive Assist, blind spot avoidance, and the Blind-View Monitor.

One caveat is that some of the more advanced driver-assistance features are not standard, so you should verify the exact equipment on any used example you are considering.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines bold styling with strong technology and family-friendly space.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $30,476, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $31,871 average.
• It introduced the redesign and added space.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a new transmission, more safety features, and minor equipment updates.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of price, inventory, and current-year appeal, the 2025 is the primary path to consider. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2024 is worth a look because it costs less while still delivering the redesign and added space.
