Used 2025 Hyundai Kona for Sale near Indiana

How much does the 2025 Hyundai Kona cost?

Prices have softened 11.80% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,948 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Hyundai Kona earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its modern design, tech features, and comfortable ride, and they especially like the wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and touchscreen radio. The Kona also stands out for its practical everyday use, with plenty of cargo space and a spacious feel. On the trade-off side, the engine can feel short on power for quicker acceleration, and some shoppers may want better interior materials.

That makes it a strong fit if you want a compact SUV that emphasizes usability, comfort, and modern features over excitement. With 34.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s also a decent amount of market flexibility.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the Kona’s modern tech and comfortable ride as part of its appeal. The expert evaluation also reinforces that sense of durability by describing the Kona as a practical, value-led small SUV with a reassuring warranty and standard safety equipment. Hyundai’s warranty coverage adds another ownership perk, including 10 years or 100,000 miles of powertrain coverage.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about reliability and more about whether the base engine’s modest performance will still suit your needs over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Kona?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing higher-mileage examples or trims with more equipment. Focus on condition, feature functionality, and whether the trim you’re considering has the safety and tech features you actually want. Because the Kona’s value proposition depends heavily on equipment, it’s worth checking that everything works as advertised.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE, SEL, SEL Convenience, N Line S, N Line, and Limited each add equipment in stages, with base trims missing some of the more desirable visual and convenience upgrades. The higher trims bring larger wheels, rear privacy glass, a sunroof on N Line and Limited, and a powered liftgate only on Limited.
• Powertrain: The SE, SEL, and SEL Convenience use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 147 horsepower and an IVT, while N Line S, N Line, and Limited use a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder with 190 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic. The base setup prioritizes efficiency, while the turbo version is the better pick if you want stronger response.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, and Safe Exit Warning. SEL Convenience and above add Highway Driving Assist and enhanced Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with junction turning and door opening detection.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 12.3-inch central touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. SEL Convenience and above add wireless charging, a digital key, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, while built-in navigation is limited to SEL Convenience, N Line, and Limited.
• Fuel efficiency: The base FWD 2.0-liter engine returns 31 mpg combined, while AWD drops that figure by around 3 mpg. The turbo engine is rated at 28 mpg combined in FWD form and 26 mpg combined with AWD.

Which 2025 Hyundai Kona trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Kona is offered in 6 trim levels: SE, SEL, SEL Convenience, N Line S, N Line, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Kona’s core strengths at the lowest price. You still get the 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, and standard safety tech, so it’s the value play if you want the basics done well.
• SEL: This trim adds a bit more polish without jumping too far in price, making it a sensible middle ground if you want a nicer daily driver without chasing the highest equipment levels.
• SEL Convenience: This is the best-value trim. It adds heated front seats, the larger digital instrument cluster, Highway Driving Assist, built-in navigation, wireless charging, digital key, and a WiFi hotspot, which makes it the sweet spot for most shoppers.
• N Line S: This trim brings the turbocharged engine and a sportier look, so it suits you if you want more power and a more distinctive appearance.
• N Line: This is the better choice if you want the turbo powertrain plus upgraded audio and more premium touches.
• Limited: This is the most feature-rich version, adding the most convenience and parking tech, including Surround View Monitor and Remote Smart Parking Assist, so it fits buyers who want the most equipment.

Safety equipment is standard across the lineup, and SEL Convenience and above add more advanced driver-assistance features.

• Deal availability: 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,948 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.80% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,426, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Kona's resale value?

The current average of $21,426 sits slightly below last year's $24,291.

That price movement suggests the Kona is currently in a softer resale position than it was a year ago, which can work in your favor if you’re buying now. For a future seller, it means you may need to be more competitive on price to stand out, especially if your vehicle lacks desirable equipment or has higher mileage. Well-equipped trims and clean-condition examples should hold up better than stripped-down versions.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Kona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.80% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the second-generation Kona’s practical space, standard safety tech, and modern wireless smartphone integration.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $21,469, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $21,426 average.
• It brings a fresh redesign with new tech and a broader range of choices.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It simplifies the lineup and adds more standard safety features.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better default choice if you want the strongest mix of price, inventory, and proven owner satisfaction. If you’re shopping strictly on value, the 2024 and 2026 are worth comparing, but the 2025’s softer pricing and broad availability make it the easiest year to recommend.
