Amazing comfort, lots of power and fun to drive. The bose sound system is mind blowing. The quiet hum of the electric motor was a nice break from all the noisy gas motors I was used to. The only issue I have so far is the wireless charger makes my phone run hot and it is not a fast charge.

How much does the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $28,673 |
| Year-Round Low | $28,136.05 |
| Year-Round High | $29,621.98 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $29,606 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −3.15% |
Prices have softened 3.15% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 1,025 listings available, which suggests decent inventory for comparison shopping.
If you find a listing below $28,136.05, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid a good car?
Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating and 7.17/10 expert rating both point to a strong overall package. The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.
The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid makes an already strong compact car more appealing by adding a new hybrid model to the lineup, and it promises more power and significantly improved fuel economy. It also keeps the Civic affordable and attractive, which fits well if you want a comfortable, fuel-efficient daily driver.
The main trade-off is that all-wheel drive is not available, so you’ll need to look elsewhere if extra traction matters to you. The expert rating also reflects a balanced rather than class-leading result in the other categories.
With 28.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid reliable?
Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The Civic Hybrid builds on a reputation for being easy to live with, and the hybrid setup adds smooth, quiet operation that should help it feel refined in everyday use. The powertrain is described as responsive, and the transition between electric and gasoline power is almost seamless, which is a good sign for day-to-day dependability.
Honda also notes that the system stays smooth and quiet under normal driving, and the hybrid braking behavior is described as seamless as well. If you plan to keep it for the long haul, the biggest ownership risk is simply making sure the hybrid-specific components and overall condition have been maintained properly.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free listings are common but not guaranteed. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing, especially if you’re comparing cars with different trim levels or mileage. Focus on overall condition, since the hybrid’s value proposition depends on getting the fuel-saving benefits without inheriting avoidable wear or repair needs.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The cabin is mostly unchanged and already one of the nicest in the class, but higher trim levels add a digital instrument panel for a more high-tech feel. The rear seat area is more basic, with no air vents or charge ports, so you should pay attention to whether the trim you’re considering has the comfort and convenience features you want.
- Powertrain: The base LX and Sport use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a CVT and front-wheel drive only, while the new hybrid setup pairs a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with two electric motors for 200 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque. The hybrid is expected to return 36% more miles to the gallon.
- Safety package: Standard advanced safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, and automatic high beams. The Sport trim adds a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts, while the top Touring trim extends automatic braking to parking lot speeds and adds parking proximity sensors and rain-sensing wipers.
- Infotainment: The base LX includes a seven-inch touchscreen, HondaLink app support, a four-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The Sport doubles the speaker count, while the top Touring adds a nine-inch touchscreen, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, wireless phone integration, and a wireless charging pad.
- Fuel efficiency: The LX is estimated at 36 mpg combined and the Sport at 35 mpg combined. The Sport Hybrid is estimated at 49 mpg combined, and Honda says the hybrid can save money over time if you plan to keep the car for at least six years.
Which 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid trim should I buy?
The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid is offered in 2 trim levels: Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid.
Here's the short version:
- Sport Hybrid: This is the better-value choice if you want the hybrid powertrain, stronger fuel economy, and a meaningful feature upgrade over the non-hybrid Sport trim. It adds a sunroof, heated front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control, making it the trim most buyers should start with.
- Sport Touring Hybrid: Choose this if you want the most upscale Civic Hybrid experience, with the biggest technology and luxury upgrades. It adds the most equipment, but it makes the most sense if you’ll use the extra convenience and premium features regularly.
The Sport Touring trim also gets the most advanced infotainment setup, while the Sport trim adds the blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alerts.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.
- Deal availability: 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,025 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 3.15% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 87.1% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $28,136.05, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid's resale value?
The current average of $28,673 sits slightly below last year's $29,606.
That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and trim choice than on broad market momentum alone. If you buy well and keep the car in strong shape, you’ll be in a better position when it’s time to sell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid safe?
It earns five-star ratings in overall, side, and rollover protection, and four stars for frontal collisions from NHTSA. It also earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.
It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.
Standard advanced safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, and automatic high beams. The Sport trim adds a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts, while the top Touring trim extends automatic braking to parking lot speeds and adds parking proximity sensors and rain-sensing wipers.
One caveat is that the frontal crash result trails the other NHTSA ratings, so that’s worth keeping in mind if safety is a top priority.
Should I buy a 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 3.15% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The debut of the new Hybrid model brings more power and significantly improved fuel economy to the Civic lineup.
The bottom line: If you want the newest Civic Hybrid setup with strong efficiency, good market availability, and a well-rounded daily-driver feel, the 2025 is the one to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, you should shop carefully for the best deal and compare trim levels closely, since the right listing can make a meaningful difference in value.
