Amazing comfort, lots of power and fun to drive. The bose sound system is mind blowing. The quiet hum of the electric motor was a nice break from all the noisy gas motors I was used to. The only issue I have so far is the wireless charger makes my phone run hot and it is not a fast charge.

How much does the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $28,821 |
| Year-Round Low | $28,144.26 |
| Year-Round High | $29,660.44 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $29,661 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −2.83% |
Prices have softened 2.83% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 1,009 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.
If you find a listing below $28,144.26, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid a good car?
Yes — the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.
The Civic Hybrid is aimed at you if you want a comfortable, fuel-efficient daily driver with a practical compact-car footprint. The overview also points to a slight styling refresh and new features, while the expert notes say the hybrid adds more power and significantly improved fuel economy without giving up the Civic’s easy-to-live-with character.
The main trade-off is that all-wheel drive is not available, so you give up extra traction if that matters in your climate. The expert also flags that the Civic Hybrid is still more about comfort and efficiency than sporty cornering.
Only 26.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the best examples may take some searching.
Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid reliable?
Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The overview describes a practical, efficient model that builds on the Civic’s reputation, and the expert drive notes reinforce that it feels smooth, quiet, and easy to live with. The hybrid system is described as seamless in operation, with responsive power delivery and smooth braking transitions, which are the kinds of traits that usually matter in long-term ownership.
The cost-effectiveness notes also suggest the hybrid can make sense if you plan to keep it for several years, since the fuel savings can outweigh the higher purchase price over time. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is paying extra for hybrid efficiency without getting enough years of ownership to fully benefit from it.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. A pre-purchase inspection is especially useful here because you want to confirm the hybrid system, brakes, tires, and cabin electronics are all in good shape. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since those are the details that matter most on a used efficiency-focused car.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The cabin is one of the nicest in the class, and higher trims add a digital instrument panel for a more high-tech feel. The base trim is more basic in the rear, where you lose air vents and charge ports.
- Powertrain: The hybrid uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors for 200 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque, and it is expected to return 36% more miles to the gallon.
- Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, and automatic high beams. The Sport trim adds a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts, while the top Touring trim adds parking-speed automatic braking, parking proximity sensors, and rain-sensing wipers.
- Infotainment: The base system includes a seven-inch touchscreen, HondaLink app support, a four-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The top Touring trim adds a nine-inch touchscreen, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, wireless phone integration, and a wireless charging pad.
- Fuel efficiency: The hybrid is estimated to achieve 49 mpg in combined driving.
Which 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid trim should I buy?
The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid is offered in 2 trim levels: Sport Hybrid, Sport Touring Hybrid.
Here's the short version:
- Sport Hybrid: This is the better-value choice if you want the hybrid powertrain, a sunroof, heated front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control without stretching to the top trim. It gives you the core efficiency and performance upgrade in a more accessible package.
- Sport Touring Hybrid: This is the pick if you want the most complete version of the Civic Hybrid, with the biggest tech and luxury upgrades. It adds the richer feature set that makes the cabin feel more upscale and is the best fit if you plan to keep the car for a long time and want the most equipment.
The Sport trim also adds a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts, while the Touring trim extends automatic braking to parking lot speeds and adds parking proximity sensors and rain-sensing wipers.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully rather than rush.
- Deal availability: 26.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,009 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 2.83% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 87.4% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $28,144.26, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid's resale value?
The current average of $28,821 sits slightly below last year's $29,661.
That softer pricing can help you as a buyer now, but it also means future sellers may face a market that is still adjusting to the hybrid’s value proposition. If demand stays healthy, the Civic Hybrid’s combination of efficiency and practicality should help support resale. The strongest examples will likely be the ones with clean history, good condition, and the right trim mix.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid safe?
It earns five-star ratings in overall, side, and rollover protection from NHTSA, and four stars for frontal collisions. The Civic is also named a Top Safety Pick by IIHS.
It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.
Standard advanced safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, and automatic high beams. The Sport trim adds a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts, while the top Touring trim adds parking-speed automatic braking, parking proximity sensors, and rain-sensing wipers.
The main caveat is that the available crash-test information points to a slightly weaker frontal result than the rest of the NHTSA ratings, even though the overall safety picture remains strong.
Should I buy a 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 26.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 2.83% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2025 model year adds a new Hybrid model that promises more power and significantly improved fuel economy.
The bottom line: If you want the newest Civic Hybrid setup with strong efficiency, good comfort, and a broad used-car inventory to shop from, the 2025 is the right starting point. If your priority is simply the lowest possible price, you can widen your search to nearby years, but you may give up some of the 2025’s added hybrid appeal and feature mix.
