How much does the 2025 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices have softened 6.44% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,947 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2025 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong shopper satisfaction. The 2025 Mustang stands out because it keeps the familiar front-engine, rear-wheel-drive formula and offers coupe and convertible body styles, so you get classic Mustang character with everyday choice. It also gives you a wide spread of performance options, from the EcoBoost turbo four-cylinder to V8-powered upper trims, which helps you match the car to your priorities. With 33.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Mustang’s appeal is rooted in its familiar layout and broad trim range, which can make it easier to shop for the version you want. At the same time, reports mention powertrain vibrations, inconsistent interior build quality, limited-slip differential issues, and electronic stability control problems, so you should pay close attention to condition and maintenance history. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is manageable if you verify the car carefully before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford Mustang?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the car for signs of prior damage, uneven panel gaps, or repair work that could affect value. Focus closely on drivetrain behavior, interior fit and finish, and any warning lights or drivability issues during the test drive. Because reported concerns include powertrain and stability-control problems, a thorough pre-purchase inspection is especially important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford Mustang?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,947 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.44% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $42,057, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $42,058 sits slightly below last year's $44,951.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future sellers may need to stay competitive on asking price. If the market continues to favor buyers, resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. Well-kept examples should hold up better than average, especially if they avoid the issues that can make shoppers cautious.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $38,169, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $42,058 average.
• It offers a more budget-friendly take on the Mustang with updated tech and strong value.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version with strong market availability and a broad trim spread, the 2025 is the better starting point. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2024 is the smarter value play and still delivers the Mustang formula.
