Used 2025 Ford Maverick for Sale nearAllentown, PA

How much does the 2025 Ford Maverick cost?

Prices have softened 3.09% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,687 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable range of choices.

Is the 2025 Ford Maverick a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Ford Maverick earns a 4.4/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, and Technology.

Owners repeatedly praise its practicality, comfortable seating, good fuel economy, and spacious cabin. The overview also points to its truck usefulness in a compact package, plus the added appeal of the hybrid powertrain and updated styling and tech for this year.

The main trade-offs are that advanced safety features are not standard and the touchscreen-heavy controls can be frustrating. That matters most if you want a small truck that feels easygoing and fully equipped right away.

Good and great deals account for 34.8% of listings, so there’s still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Ford Maverick reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels practical, efficient, and easy to live with over time, with many drivers specifically highlighting the hybrid’s good fuel economy and the Maverick’s everyday usefulness. That kind of praise usually lines up with a vehicle people feel confident keeping for the long haul.

The expert evaluation also describes the Maverick as pleasant to drive and practical, which supports the idea that it should be a dependable daily companion if you buy a well-kept example. Ford’s warranty coverage includes a three-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty, and an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty for hybrid components.

For used buyers, the biggest long-term ownership risk is choosing a truck that has been neglected or poorly optioned for your needs, especially if you want the hybrid’s efficiency or expect advanced driver aids.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford Maverick?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the truck’s equipment matches what you want, especially because safety features vary by trim. A pre-purchase inspection is smart, with extra attention to the controls, electronics, and overall condition of the cabin and bed.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base XL is the most basic version, while XLT and Lariat add more equipment and the Lariat gets a more upscale grille treatment. The Maverick also offers Tremor and Lobo specialty models, with the Tremor focused on off-road hardware and the Lobo aimed at street-truck style and handling. If you want the best value, the XLT is the trim to study closely because it adds meaningful equipment without jumping straight to the top end.
• Powertrain: The standard hybrid uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with a single electric motor and CVT, while the optional 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbo-four makes more power and uses an eight-speed automatic in most trims. The hybrid is the efficiency play, and the Lobo gets a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox plus a track-focused drive mode.
• Safety package: Forward-collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic high beams are standard on the XL. Lane-keep assist and lane-departure warning move up to the XLT, while adaptive cruise control with lane-centering and stop-and-go functions is reserved for the Lariat and Tremor. That means the base trim leaves out several desirable driver aids.
• Infotainment: The truck uses a standard 13.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an eight-inch digital instrument cluster. Ford’s continued use of the touchscreen for temperature and seat-heater controls is worth checking in person to see whether it works for you.
• Fuel efficiency: The base FWD hybrid returns an EPA-estimated 38 mpg combined, while the AWD hybrid is rated at 37 mpg combined. The 2.0-liter turbo-four models are rated at 25 mpg combined, the Lobo at 24 mpg combined, and the Tremor at 23 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Ford Maverick trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford Maverick is offered in 5 trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, Tremor, and Lobo.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Maverick’s core value proposition with the standard hybrid setup and basic equipment. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the lineup, but you should be comfortable with fewer convenience and driver-assistance features.
• XLT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds meaningful equipment over the XL without pushing you into luxury-trim pricing. It also unlocks more safety tech than the base model, which makes it the trim to target if you want a balanced daily driver.
• Lariat: This is the trim to choose if you want a more polished Maverick with more available comfort and convenience features. It also gets adaptive cruise control with lane-centering and stop-and-go functions, which helps justify the step up if you spend a lot of time commuting.
• Tremor: This is the off-road-focused choice, with dedicated suspension tuning, all-terrain tires, skid plates, and a twin-clutch rear drive unit for its AWD system. Pick it if you want the most trail-ready Maverick in the lineup.
• Lobo: This is the enthusiast pick, with lowered suspension, unique styling, upgraded brakes, and a track-focused drive mode. It’s the one to buy if you care most about handling and street-truck character.

Adaptive cruise control with lane-centering and stop-and-go functions is limited to the Lariat and Tremor.

• Inventory: There are 2,687 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.09% compared with last year.

What is the 2025 Ford Maverick's resale value?

The current average of $31,781 sits slightly below last year's $32,793.

That tells you the Maverick has softened a bit, which can help you as a buyer now but may also mean sellers need to be realistic on price. If you plan to resell later, the current trend suggests you should expect a market that rewards clean condition, desirable equipment, and strong maintenance history more than simple age alone.

The Maverick’s broad appeal still helps support future demand, especially because it combines truck utility with hybrid efficiency and a compact footprint. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Ford Maverick safe?

The 2025 Ford Maverick earns four-star ratings in rollover crash testing and five-star ratings in frontal and side crash tests from NHTSA.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Forward-collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic high beams are standard on the base XL. Lane-keep assist and lane-departure warning require the XLT, while adaptive cruise control with lane-centering and stop-and-go functions is limited to the Lariat and Tremor.

The IIHS results are mixed, with a Good rating in the updated side crash test, but only Marginal in the updated moderate overlap front test and Acceptable for headlights. That means you should pay close attention to trim level and equipment if safety tech matters to you.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Maverick or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 model adds styling and tech updates, plus the new Maverick Lobo performance variant and an all-wheel drive hybrid.

The bottom line:

If you want the freshest Maverick with the updated tech, broader powertrain choices, and the Lobo or AWD hybrid options, the 2025 is the one to target. If your priority is simply getting the lowest possible price, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but you’ll be trading away some of the 2025’s updates and broader trim mix.
