How much does the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport cost?

Prices have softened 13.14% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,357 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for you to compare trims and prices.

Is the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport a good car?

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport earns an expert rating of 7.83/10.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Technology.

It is designed primarily with off-road enthusiasts in mind, but it still aims to work as an all-around crossover. That shows up in the standard all-wheel drive, the strong handling, and the distinctive styling that helps it stand out from many compact crossovers.

The main trade-offs are excessive touchscreen controls and mediocre fuel economy. If you want a compact crossover with a rugged identity and everyday usability, that balance may work well for you.

37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport reliable?

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is presented as a rugged crossover with standard all-wheel drive and a focus on off-road use, which points to a vehicle built for capability rather than simplicity. Its powertrain lineup carries over for 2025, and Ford pairs both engines with an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive.

The performance content also emphasizes torque-vectoring rear drive hardware, Trail Control, and a one-pedal off-road feature, all of which suggest a system engineered for traction and low-speed control. Ford’s warranty coverage is competitive, with a three-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a vehicle with this much off-road hardware and tech can be more expensive to live with if you skip maintenance or buy one that has been used hard.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford Bronco Sport?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the vehicle has been used for trail driving or fitted with off-road packages. Pay close attention to tire wear, underbody condition, and any signs that the vehicle has seen hard use or aftermarket modifications.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Big Bend trim is the base model, while the Outer Banks and Badlands sit higher in the lineup. The Black Diamond Package is available on the Big Bend, and the Sasquatch Package is available on the Outer Banks and Badlands. The off-road packages add modular steel bumpers, accessory mounting points, cast D-rings, a removable nudge bar, and underbody protection, so base-trim examples without those packages will be less trail-ready.
• Powertrain: Most trims use a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine with 180 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque, while Badlands models use a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 250 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. Both engines pair with an eight-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive, and the AWD system uses a dual-clutch rear-drive unit for torque vectoring.
• Safety package: Ford’s Co-Pilot360 suite includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centering, and automatic high beams. Reverse automatic emergency braking and traffic sign recognition are optional on the Outer Banks and standard on the Badlands.
• Infotainment: For 2025, the Bronco Sport gets a 13.2-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the Sync 4 system. The larger screen and digital cluster are standard, and the available 360-degree camera can also help with off-road driving.
• Fuel efficiency: The 1.5-liter engine is rated at 27 mpg combined, 25 mpg city, and 30 mpg highway. The 2.0-liter engine is rated at 23 mpg combined, 21 mpg city, and 27 mpg highway.

Which 2025 Ford Bronco Sport trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is offered in 5 trim levels: Big Bend, Outer Banks, Badlands, Heritage, and Free Wheeling.

Here's the short version:

• Big Bend: This is the entry point, and it makes the most sense if you want the Bronco Sport’s core personality at the lowest starting price. It also supports the Black Diamond Package, which adds meaningful off-road hardware if you want to build in more capability later.
• Outer Banks: This is the better fit if you want a more upscale-feeling Bronco Sport and may want the available Sasquatch Package. It gives you a path to stronger off-road hardware without jumping straight to the most expensive trim.
• Badlands: This is the best-value trim if you want the strongest off-road capability from the factory. It gets the 2.0-liter engine, and with the Sasquatch Package it adds Bilstein position-sensitive dampers, an upgraded cooling fan, and an auxiliary oil cooler.
• Heritage: This trim is for you if styling matters most and you want a more design-focused version of the Bronco Sport.
• Free Wheeling: This is another design-focused choice, best if you want a distinctive look more than maximum trail hardware.

The safety package note to keep in mind is that reverse automatic emergency braking and traffic sign recognition are optional on the Outer Banks and standard on the Badlands.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford Bronco Sport?

The market looks moderately favorable for selective buyers right now.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,357 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.14% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,539, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport's resale value?

The current average of $28,539 sits slightly below last year's $32,857.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now. If you plan to sell later, you should expect resale value to depend heavily on trim, condition, mileage, and whether the vehicle has been used hard off-road.

Because the Bronco Sport has a clear identity and strong demand from buyers who want a rugged compact crossover, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones. The best resale prospects will likely be clean, accident-free vehicles with desirable equipment and no signs of heavy trail use.

Is the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport safe?

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, with five-star frontal and side crash-test ratings and a four-star rollover crash-test rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford’s Co-Pilot360 safety suite includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centering, and automatic high beams. Reverse automatic emergency braking and traffic sign recognition are optional on the Outer Banks and standard on the Badlands.

IIHS testing at press time showed top “Good” scores in the small overlap front test, original moderate overlap front test, and original side-impact test, plus an “Acceptable” rating in the updated side-impact test and a “Good” headlight rating.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Bronco Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.14% compared with last year.
• Ford’s 2025 updates add new off-road packages, a larger touchscreen, wireless smartphone connectivity, and interior updates.

The bottom line:

If you want the most up-to-date Bronco Sport with the strongest mix of off-road hardware and tech, the 2025 is the one to target. If your priority is simply getting into a Bronco Sport for less money, a nearby model year may be the better value, especially if you can live without the 2025 updates.
