Used 2025 Chevrolet Colorado for Sale near New York

How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado cost?

Prices have softened 7.39% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,496 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for you to compare trims and prices.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado earns an 7.8/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

It fits you well if you want a right-sized midsize truck that’s easy to park in town, has a powerful standard turbocharged engine, and offers strong off-road capability. The trade-offs are a high price tag for some shoppers and a lineup that lacks a long-bed option, which limits utility versus some rivals. You also give up some value appeal if you’re focused on cost rather than capability.

There are 33.4% good or great deals in the market, which gives you a decent chance to find a competitive listing.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado is presented as a well-rounded midsize truck with easy-to-use technology and strong performance, but it also carries some ownership compromises that matter over time.

Its standard turbocharged engine delivers quick power with minimal lag, and the transmission is described as shifting quickly and smoothly. The truck’s off-road hardware and selectable drive modes also suggest a robust setup for buyers who plan to use it hard. On the cost side, the model’s poor fuel economy is a real drawback if you expect to keep it for the long haul.

The Colorado also includes standard Chevy Safety Assist and Teen Driver technology, which adds everyday peace of mind for family use. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that higher running costs and a premium purchase price can make it less forgiving if you rack up a lot of miles.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Colorado?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has been used off pavement or to tow. Focus on tire wear, underbody condition, suspension components, and signs of hard use, since those areas can reveal how the truck was treated. If you’re shopping a higher-trim off-road model, pay extra attention to skid plates, wheels, and any evidence of trail damage.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: WT is the work-truck starting point, while LT adds body-color exterior details and nicer wheels. Trail Boss adds a factory suspension lift, 32-inch tires, skid plates, and black fender flares, making it the clear off-road step up. Z71 keeps 32-inch tires and adds tow recovery hooks plus more upscale exterior touches, while ZR2 brings the most aggressive hardware and the most distinctive appearance.
• Powertrain: Every Colorado uses a 2.7-liter TurboMax four-cylinder with 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. Four-wheel drive is optional on WT and LT, but standard on Trail Boss, Z71 and ZR2.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a following distance indicator and automatic high beams. Blind-zone steering assist, reverse automatic emergency braking and rear park assist are also standard, while rear pedestrian alert, trailering support for blind-zone steering assist, and a 360-degree camera system are optional.
• Infotainment: Every Colorado gets an 11.3-inch touchscreen, Google built-in software, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice recognition, and Alexa Built-In connectivity.
• Fuel efficiency: The base WT with rear-wheel drive is rated at 19 mpg city, 23 mpg highway and 20 mpg combined. With 4WD, it drops to 17 mpg city, 21 mpg highway and 19 mpg combined. The ZR2 is rated at 17 mpg across the board, and the Bison package lowers that to 16 mpg in all driving scenarios.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado is offered in 5 trim levels: WT, LT, Trail Boss, Z71, ZR2.

Here's the short version:

• WT: This is the value starting point if you want the Colorado’s core powertrain, standard digital gauge cluster, and standard 11.3-inch touchscreen without paying for extra appearance or off-road gear.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds body-color exterior details, nicer wheels, and available EvoTex seating while staying below the more expensive off-road-focused trims.
• Trail Boss: Choose this if you want the most obvious factory off-road upgrade, including the suspension lift, skid plates, and 32-inch tires.
• Z71: This is the step-up choice if you want a more polished look and stronger off-road hardware than LT, but don’t need the full ZR2 treatment.
• ZR2: Pick this if off-road capability is your priority, since it brings the most serious hardware and the most distinctive appearance in the lineup.

Chevy Safety Assist and Teen Driver technology are standard across all Colorado models, so you don’t need to move up a trim for those features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Colorado?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop, but the better listings can still move quickly.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,496 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.39% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $38,856, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $38,856 sits slightly below last year's $41,958.

That price movement suggests the Colorado has softened enough to help you buy more selectively today. If you plan to sell later, you should expect resale value to depend heavily on trim, mileage, and condition rather than broad market momentum alone. Higher-spec off-road versions may hold appeal with the right buyer, but the current trend still points to a market that has cooled from last year.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado safe?

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with a four-star frontal crash-test rating, a five-star side-impact rating, and a three-star rollover rating.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The truck comes standard with Chevy Safety Assist, which includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a following distance indicator and automatic high beams. Blind-zone steering assist, reverse automatic emergency braking and rear park assist are also standard, while rear pedestrian alert, trailering support for blind-zone steering assist, and a 360-degree camera system are optional.

Chevy’s Teen Driver technology is standard across all Colorado models, letting parents set speed and audio limits for other drivers. The main caveat is the rollover result, which is lower than the Colorado’s other NHTSA scores.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.39% compared with last year.
• It adds strong standard turbo power and a broad off-road-focused lineup.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $36,360, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $38,856 average.
• It emphasizes modern lifestyle-pickup appeal with polished on-road manners.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the lineup simple with one powertrain and five trim levels.
• It adds small updates while staying mostly unchanged.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of capability, tech, and current-market availability, the 2025 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the smarter value play.
