Is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV a good car?

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV stands out as a full-size luxury SUV built around space, presence, and high-end features. It offers a massive cabin, a long-wheelbase body, and the kind of upscale interior treatment that has long defined the Escalade ESV name. For you, that means a strong fit if you want maximum passenger room, generous cargo space, and a dramatic cabin presentation.

For 2025, the Escalade ESV received a refresh that brought a 55-inch infotainment screen stretching across the dashboard, which strengthens its tech-forward appeal. The model also benefits from independent rear suspension, which improves ride and handling while helping cargo capacity. At the same time, the buying guide notes poor fuel economy and poor value for the money among its drawbacks, so it makes the most sense if your priorities are space, luxury, and presence rather than efficiency or bargain pricing.

38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV reliable?

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV stands out as a full-size luxury SUV built around space, presence, and high-end features. It offers a massive cabin, a long-wheelbase body, and the kind of upscale interior treatment that has long defined the Escalade ESV name. For you, that points to a vehicle that is more about premium comfort and capability than simplicity.

For 2025, the Escalade ESV received a refresh that brought a 55-inch infotainment screen stretching across the dashboard, and the model also continued to offer a turbo-diesel engine until Cadillac dropped that option in 2025. That means this year sits in a period of change rather than a pure carryover, so used buyers should pay close attention to how the vehicle has been maintained and whether its features are functioning as intended.

Long-term ownership risk is highest if you buy one that has been neglected, because a large, complex luxury SUV can become expensive to keep in top shape.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing matches the seller’s claims about ownership and maintenance. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin electronics, infotainment system, and other high-use luxury features, since those are the kinds of items you’ll notice every day. You should also focus on overall condition, because a vehicle this large and expensive can hide costly wear if it has been used hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 745 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.98% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $104,075, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV's resale value?

The current average of $104,075 sits slightly below last year's $116,917.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you as a buyer today but may also mean a softer resale outlook if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that strong luxury appeal does not always protect against depreciation, especially when the market is already pricing the model below its prior-year level. If you buy carefully and keep the vehicle in excellent condition, you’ll be in a better position to preserve value later.

Should I buy a 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.98% compared with last year.

The bottom line:

The 2025 is the right pick if you want the refreshed cabin, the big-screen tech presentation, and a strong mix of space and luxury in a year with solid inventory. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a lower entry point, but the 2025 is the better choice when you want the updated experience and can find a well-priced example.
