How much does the 2025 Cadillac CT5 cost?

Prices have softened 8.56% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 892 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Cadillac CT5 a good car?

The 2025 Cadillac CT5 is a strong fit if you want a premium midsize sedan that emphasizes technology and value over maximum refinement, and it earns a 3/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating.

The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

It is positioned as a relative bargain in its segment, and its 2025 updates center on a new 33-inch display, more standard and available safety tech, AKG audio, and fresh styling. It is also described as enjoyable to drive, but it can feel like an older car and does not match the polish of some rivals.

Cons: It lacks overall polish and refinement, and rear-seat headroom and cargo space are limited.

Cons: The standard engine is not especially powerful, so some buyers may want the pricier V6.

With 31.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Cadillac CT5 reliable?

The 2025 Cadillac CT5 is presented as a well-equipped luxury sedan with a strong safety and technology package, and its expert evaluation emphasizes that it is a good car with impressive in-car tech.

Its performance notes point to a capable chassis and an effortless driving experience, while the available twin-turbo V6 adds strong power for highway passing and everyday use. The cost-effectiveness commentary also frames it as a value play against pricier German rivals.

Cadillac says the CT5’s tech and safety equipment are a major part of its appeal, and the model’s standard and available driver-assistance features are unusually comprehensive for the class. The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a sedan with this much technology and available performance hardware can become expensive if prior maintenance or repairs were neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Cadillac CT5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the electronics, driver-assistance systems, and cabin condition, since this CT5 leans heavily on technology. Focus on whether the car has the equipment and trim content you want, because the 2025 lineup spans a wide price range.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup no longer includes Luxury trim, and the Premium Luxury, Sport, CT5-V, and CT5-V Blackwing variants differ in equipment and character. The base-level setup can leave you wanting more if you care about richer materials and a more upscale feel.
• Powertrain: The standard turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder makes 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, while the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 makes 335 hp and 405 lb-ft. AWD is available with both engines, but it adds cost.
• Safety package: Every CT5 includes a broad driver-assistance suite with a surround-view camera system, semi-automated parking assist, automatic collision-avoidance braking for intersections, active blind-spot monitoring that can steer to discourage unsafe lane changes, and Super Cruise with an active subscription.
• Infotainment: The 33-inch panoramic display combines digital instrumentation and a wide infotainment touchscreen with Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Google Maps, Google Assistant, Google Play access, SiriusXM 360L, Amazon Alexa compatibility, and a 5G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbo-four gets 25-26 mpg combined, while the twin-turbo V6 returns 21-22 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Cadillac CT5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Cadillac CT5 is offered in 4 trim levels: Premium Luxury, Sport, CT5-V, and CT5-V Blackwing.

Here's the short version:

• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value starting point if you want the CT5’s core strengths: strong tech, a comfortable cabin, and the available V6 and AWD upgrades. It suits you best if you want the most balanced mix of price, equipment, and everyday usability.
• Sport: Choose this if you want a more aggressive appearance and a slightly different flavor without moving all the way up the range. It makes sense if style matters as much as the CT5’s tech and driving character.
• CT5-V: Step here if you want a more performance-focused CT5 with a stronger enthusiast bent than the standard trims. It is the right move if you want more excitement and are willing to pay for it.
• CT5-V Blackwing: This is the top performance choice for buyers who want the most serious CT5 experience. It is the one to consider if outright capability matters more than value.

The safety package is a standout across the lineup, with Super Cruise and other advanced driver-assistance features helping the CT5 feel unusually well equipped.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Cadillac CT5?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right one.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 892 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.56% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $43,938, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Cadillac CT5's resale value?

The current average of $44,070 sits slightly below last year's $48,194.

That decline suggests the CT5 has become more attractive to used buyers than it was a year ago. If you buy at today’s average or below, you may be starting from a more favorable price point than earlier shoppers did.

For a future seller, the softer market means you should expect more competition when it is time to trade or list the car. A well-kept CT5 with desirable equipment and clean history should hold up better than one with missing features or visible wear.

Is the 2025 Cadillac CT5 safe?

The 2025 Cadillac CT5 earns five-star ratings in every individual NHTSA evaluation, including rollover resistance.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Cadillac equips every CT5 with a comprehensive set of driver-assistance systems, including a surround-view camera system, semi-automated parking assist, automatic collision-avoidance braking for intersections, and active blind-spot monitoring that can steer to discourage unsafe lane changes. Super Cruise is the headline feature, and with an active subscription it provides hands-free driving on approved roads across North America.

The 2025 updates also add more standard and available safety tech, which strengthens the CT5’s appeal if you want a sedan with a broad safety toolkit.

Should I buy a 2025 Cadillac CT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.56% compared with last year.
• It adds a new 33-inch display and more standard safety and driver-assistance tech.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $38,458, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $44,070 average.
• It carries over unchanged and remains a decent value.

The bottom line: If you want the newest tech and the strongest safety and infotainment package, the 2025 is the better target. If your priority is saving money and you can live without the latest update, the 2024 is the smarter value play.
