How much does the 2025 Cadillac CT5 cost?

Is the 2025 Cadillac CT5 a good car?

The 2025 Cadillac CT5 is a qualified yes if you want a premium midsize sedan that leans hard into technology and value. It earns a 3/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating, and the model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

The CT5’s appeal comes through clearly in its updated 33-inch display, Google Built-in infotainment, and strong safety equipment. It is also described as enjoyable to drive and a relative bargain in its segment, but it still lacks some of the polish and refinement you may expect from rivals. The trade-offs are real: it can feel like an older car, and rear-seat headroom and cargo space are limited.

Good and great deals account for 34.0% of listings, so you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2025 Cadillac CT5 reliable?

The 2025 Cadillac CT5 is presented as a solid, well-equipped luxury sedan that emphasizes technology and safety more than long-term simplicity. The expert evaluation describes it as a good car with impressive in-car tech, and the performance notes say it is effortless to drive and backed by strong hardware.

The expert write-up also highlights that the CT5’s tech is easy to use and that Super Cruise is excellent on approved roads. On the ownership side, the CT5’s value proposition is strongest when you appreciate its equipment and driving character, but its complexity and premium positioning mean you should be careful about condition and maintenance history on a used example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Cadillac CT5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper inspection. Focus on the condition of the electronics, driver-assistance systems, and interior wear, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on its tech and cabin presentation. If you are considering a higher-mileage example, pay extra attention to how well the car has been maintained and whether all of its advanced features work as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes Premium Luxury, Sport, CT5-V, and CT5-V Blackwing, and the base Luxury trim is no longer offered. Premium Luxury is the best-value choice if you want the strongest mix of equipment and price, while the higher trims add more performance and exclusivity.
• Powertrain: The standard turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder makes 237 horsepower and pairs with a 10-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive. An optional twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 is available, and all-wheel drive can be added to both engines.
• Safety package: Every CT5 includes a comprehensive set of driver-assistance systems, including a surround-view camera system, semi-automated parking assist, automatic collision-avoidance braking for intersections, and active blind-spot monitoring that can steer to discourage unsafe lane changes. Super Cruise is the standout hands-free driving system, but it requires an active subscription.
• Infotainment: The 2025 CT5 uses a new 33-inch panoramic display with Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Google Maps navigation, Google Assistant, SiriusXM 360L, Amazon Alexa compatibility, and a 5G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbo-four is rated at 25-26 mpg combined, while the twin-turbo V6 returns 21-22 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Cadillac CT5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Cadillac CT5 is offered in 4 trim levels: Premium Luxury, Sport, CT5-V, and CT5-V Blackwing.

Here's the short version:

• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim if you want the CT5’s core strengths: strong tech, a comfortable cabin, and a broad feature set without jumping to the pricier performance models.
• Sport: Choose this if you want the same basic CT5 formula with a more athletic appearance and a similar equipment mix.
• CT5-V: This is the step-up choice if you want more performance and a more serious driving character than the standard trims provide.
• CT5-V Blackwing: Pick this only if you want the most extreme CT5 experience and are willing to pay for it.

Every CT5 includes a comprehensive safety package, and Super Cruise is the standout hands-free driving feature.

• Inventory: There are 914 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.26% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $43,621, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Cadillac CT5's resale value?

The current average of $43,621 sits slightly below last year's $47,548.

That price movement suggests the CT5 has softened enough to help you buy more affordably today. If you plan to sell later, that also means your resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than just model-year desirability.

Because the CT5 is positioned as a premium sedan with strong tech content, well-kept examples should hold up better than neglected ones. A clean history and desirable equipment will matter more if you want to protect value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Cadillac CT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.26% compared with last year.
• It adds a new 33-inch display and more standard safety and driver-assistance tech.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $38,052, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $43,621 average.
• It carries over unchanged and remains a decent value.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the updated tech, stronger safety content, and a better-equipped shopping pool. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the smarter value play because it delivers the CT5 formula for less.
