Is the 2025 BMW 8 Series a good car?

The 2025 BMW 8 Series stands out as a luxury grand tourer that blends strong performance with a polished, high-end cabin. It offers a comfortable but sporty ride and handling, and it comes with strong engines, which helps give it the kind of effortless character you expect from a premium BMW.

It is especially appealing if you value driving feel and luxury more than low running costs or easy maneuverability. The interior is described as brimming with tech, and the available features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, over-the-air updates, a standard head-up display, quad-zone climate control, USB-C charge ports, front seat massagers, a panoramic glass roof, and an available 31-inch theater screen with 5G connectivity and built-in Amazon Fire TV.

31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 BMW 8 Series reliable?

The 2025 BMW 8 Series is presented as a polished, high-end luxury grand tourer with strong engines and a comfortable but sporty ride and handling. It is best suited to shoppers who want a premium driving experience and a well-equipped cabin.

Its main ownership tradeoffs are expensive options, high depreciation, and a poor turning circle. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about cost and complexity than basic appeal.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 BMW 8 Series?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s equipment and condition match the listing. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has expensive options or a long feature list, and focus on signs of wear that could affect your ownership costs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 BMW 8 Series?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 366 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.32% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $68,514, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 BMW 8 Series's resale value?

The current average of $68,514 sits slightly below last year's $82,868.

That price drop suggests the market has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation. If you buy now, you may be entering at a more favorable point than a previous owner did, but you should still expect luxury-car depreciation to remain part of the ownership equation.

For a future seller, the softer pricing means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and equipment than to broad market momentum. A well-kept example with desirable features should be easier to position than one that shows wear or lacks key options.

Should I buy a 2025 BMW 8 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.32% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better primary choice if you want a luxury grand tourer with strong value momentum and a healthy pool of listings to compare. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still be worth considering, but the 2025 gives you a solid mix of inventory, condition, and softened pricing.
