Is the 2025 BMW 7 Series a good car?

The 2025 BMW 7 Series stands out as a full-size luxury sedan that leans hard into technology and powertrain variety. BMW positions it as its flagship sedan, and this generation continues that role with a lineup that includes 48-volt mild hybrids, a plug-in hybrid, and a zero-emission all-electric model.

For you, that means the 7 Series is aimed at shoppers who want a deeply tech-focused cabin, strong performance, and a broad range of drivetrain choices. It also brings rear-seat comfort and advanced equipment expected of a flagship, while still preserving BMW’s sporting character.

35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 BMW 7 Series reliable?

The 2025 BMW 7 Series is presented as a flagship sedan with a broad mix of powertrains, advanced cabin technology, and substantial chassis hardware. BMW also emphasizes comfort, performance, and a wide feature set, which points to a vehicle built for high-end daily use.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a complex luxury sedan can be expensive to keep in top condition, especially if you want all of its advanced systems working properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 BMW 7 Series?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s equipment and service records match the listing. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the electronics, suspension, and any high-value comfort features, since those are the kinds of systems that matter most in a flagship sedan.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 BMW 7 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 608 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.94% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $80,152, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $80,168 sits slightly below last year's $101,397.

That drop suggests the market has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may remain sensitive to mileage, condition, and equipment because this is a high-end sedan with a wide price spread.

If you keep the car well maintained and avoid heavy wear, you should be in a better position when it comes time to sell. If you buy at the lower end of the current range, you may also reduce the amount of value left to lose.

Should I buy a 2025 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.94% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $66,439, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $80,168 average.
• The 2024 adds a plug-in hybrid option and a lightly updated infotainment system.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2025 if you want the stronger current-market mix of inventory, deal share, and cleaner listings. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2024 is the better value path and still gives you a lot of flagship luxury for the money.
