How much does the 2025 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 10.83% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,352 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX a good car?

The 2025 Acura MDX is a strong fit if you want a refined three-row luxury SUV with straightforward controls and intuitive tech, though its appeal depends on how much you value efficiency and third-row space. It earns 3.8/5 from users and 7.83/10 from our experts.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

It comes across as stylish, comfortable, and easy to use, with a refreshed cabin and a new infotainment setup that simplifies day-to-day driving. The trade-offs are a standard V6 that feels somewhat underwhelming and fuel economy that trails the segment, plus a third row that is cramped if you plan to use it often.

The MDX’s 38.7% good or great deal share suggests there are worthwhile opportunities in the market if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX reliable?

The 2025 Acura MDX is presented as a polished, refined SUV that emphasizes simple controls and a user-friendly experience, which supports confidence in everyday ownership. Acura also says the updated driver-assistance hardware improves accuracy and refinement, and the standard systems performed well in testing with only minor quirks.

The standard powertrain is described as tried-and-true, with smooth, capable behavior in normal driving and a comfortable highway ride. Acura also includes complimentary maintenance for the first scheduled visit during the first year or 12,000 miles, which helps early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the MDX’s strengths do not extend to efficiency, so higher fuel use can add up over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Acura MDX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or a vehicle with optional equipment. Focus on cabin condition, infotainment operation, and whether the third row and cargo area fit your needs, since those are the areas most likely to affect day-to-day satisfaction.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup starts with a well-equipped base model, then adds Technology, A-Spec, Advance, and A-Spec Advance equipment. The base trim already includes a strong feature set, while higher trims add more luxury and convenience, with the A-Spec Advance blending maximum luxury and a sportier look.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.5-liter V6 makes 290 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque through a 10-speed automatic. SH-AWD is optional on the base and Technology trims, standard starting with A-Spec, and lower trims use front-wheel drive.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch is standard and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and Traffic Jam Assist. Starting with the Technology trim, you also get front and rear parking sensors and low-speed automatic braking.
• Infotainment: The system uses a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Alexa Built-in and Google Built-in, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also supports AcuraLink connected services and an AT&T 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The A-Spec Advance is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving, and the review notes 18.4 mpg on a test loop.

Which 2025 Acura MDX trim should I buy?

The 2025 Acura MDX is offered in 6 trim levels: base, Technology, A-Spec, Advance, A-Spec Advance, and Type S Advance.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the value starting point if you want the MDX’s core strengths without stretching the budget. It is nicely equipped, and it already gives you the refreshed design, the new infotainment system, and the standard AcuraWatch safety suite.
• Technology: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds front and rear parking sensors, low-speed automatic braking, and upgraded audio while staying below the more expensive luxury-focused trims.
• A-Spec: Choose this if you want a sportier look and standard SH-AWD. It adds more visual presence and moves the MDX further into the performance-flavored side of the lineup.
• Advance: This trim is for you if comfort and upscale touches matter most. It builds on the MDX’s luxury focus with more premium equipment and a more polished feel.
• A-Spec Advance: This is the most luxurious sport-leaning choice in the regular lineup, combining the A-Spec appearance with Advance-level equipment. It suits you if you want the richest mix of style and comfort.
• Type S Advance: This is the top performance-oriented trim, with the turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 and the most advanced available driver-assistance package. It is the right pick if you want maximum acceleration and handling.

AcuraWatch 360 is exclusive to the Type S Advance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Acura MDX?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,352 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.83% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $47,354, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $47,354 sits slightly below last year's $53,104.

That price movement suggests the MDX has become more attractive to used buyers, which can help you if you’re shopping now. For a future seller, though, it also means you may face more competition from similarly priced listings if the market stays soft.

Because the year-round range runs from $47,354 to $53,101, condition and trim will matter a lot when it’s time to resell. A well-kept example with desirable equipment should hold up better than a higher-mileage or lightly equipped one.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX safe?

The 2025 Acura MDX earns five-star ratings from NHTSA, and the 2024 model earned the highest Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch is standard and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and Traffic Jam Assist. Starting with the Technology trim, you also get front and rear parking sensors and low-speed automatic braking.

AcuraWatch 360 is exclusive to the Type S Advance and adds front cross-traffic alert, evasive steering warning, active lane-change assist, and cornering speed assist. The system performed well overall, though the review notes a false lane-departure notification and some awkward behavior in a tricky intersection.

Should I buy a 2025 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.83% compared with last year.
• The refreshed cabin and new infotainment system make the MDX simpler and more appealing.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $41,220, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $47,354 average.
• It offers a well-rounded, comfortable, and family-friendly package with strong standard features.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the refreshed formula and remains a comfortable, easy-to-use, good-value three-row SUV.

The bottom line: If you want the most appealing version of the MDX’s refreshed formula, the 2025 is the primary target. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the better value play, while the 2026 makes sense if you want the same basic strengths with only minor updates.
