Used 2024 Toyota Sequoia for Sale nearSioux Falls, SD

How much does the 2024 Toyota Sequoia cost?

Prices have softened 8.54% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,363 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used Sequoias to compare.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sequoia a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Toyota Sequoia earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

The Sequoia’s appeal is strongest if you want a full-size SUV with a standard hybrid powertrain, improved fuel economy, and increased towing and hauling power. It also brings easy-to-use technology, standard advanced safety features, and a generous list of premium features right from the start.

The trade-offs are real, though: the third row is cramped and cargo space is limited for the class. Even so, the Sequoia’s blend of seating capacity, towing strength, and fuel efficiency makes it a distinctive choice if you want utility with a hybrid twist.

37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sequoia reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Sequoia’s standard hybrid setup is paired with Toyota’s reputation for long-term reliability, and the expert review also points to a compelling combination of strengths rather than a single narrow advantage. Its standard warranty coverage adds another layer of reassurance for used buyers.

If you’re shopping used, the main long-term ownership risk is that the same packaging that helps the hybrid system also limits third-row and cargo space, so condition and practicality matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Sequoia?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the truck has a clean maintenance record. Prioritize a close inspection of the third row, cargo area, and any signs of heavy family or towing use, since those are the areas most likely to show wear. If you plan to tow, make sure the relevant equipment is present and functioning as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SR5 gives you the standard hybrid powertrain, standard safety tech, and fabric seating surfaces, while higher trims add more premium materials and equipment. The Capstone stands out with more chrome brightwork and semi-aniline leather upholstery, but the base trim already covers the essentials well.
• Powertrain: The Sequoia uses Toyota’s iForce MAX hybrid powertrain with a twin-turbo V6 and electric motor. It is the only hybrid in its class, and the setup is tuned for stronger towing and hauling while also improving fuel economy.
• Safety package: Every trim gets Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, including pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane-departure alert with steering assist, adaptive cruise control, road-sign recognition, front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and Trailer Merge Warning. The Tow Technology Package adds a digital rearview mirror and trailer backup guide with Straight-Path Assist.
• Infotainment: Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. SR5 uses an 8-inch touchscreen, while every other trim gets a 14-inch center touchscreen. The system is easy to use, and the Panoramic View monitor is standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The Sequoia is rated at 20 mpg combined with 4WD.

Which 2024 Toyota Sequoia trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Sequoia is offered in 5 trim levels: SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, Capstone.

Here's the short version:

• SR5: This is the best-value starting point because it gives you the standard hybrid powertrain, standard safety suite, wireless smartphone integration, and the strongest towing capability in the lineup when equipped in RWD form.
• Limited: This trim adds more comfort and convenience, including the larger 14-inch touchscreen and available SofTex seating, making it a smart step up if you want a more upscale daily driver without going all the way to the top.
• Platinum: This is the right pick if you want a more premium feel, with standard leather, a panoramic moonroof, and standard JBL audio.
• TRD Pro: Choose this if you want the most adventure-ready version, with 4WD, a skid plate, and the TRD Off-Road package’s added hardware and driver aids.
• Capstone: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with the most upscale interior presentation, standard panoramic moonroof, standard JBL audio, and the 10-inch head-up display.

Every trim gets Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, so you do not need to move up the lineup to get the core safety package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Sequoia?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,363 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.54% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $64,731, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Sequoia's resale value?

The current average of $64,731 sits slightly below last year's $70,774.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the truck has been maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sequoia safe?

The 2024 Toyota Sequoia comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, including pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane-departure alert with steering assist, adaptive cruise control, road-sign recognition, front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and Trailer Merge Warning.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

The Tow Technology Package adds a digital rearview mirror and trailer backup guide with Straight-Path Assist, and it is available on SR5 and Limited trims and standard on the higher three. That means you can get the core safety suite on every trim, while towing-focused assistance becomes more robust as you move up the lineup.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Sequoia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It pairs a standard hybrid powertrain with strong towing and hauling capability.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $60,231, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $64,731 average.
• It brings a redesigned, tech-forward cabin with standard hybrid power.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $70,236, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $64,731 average.
• It adds the 1794 Edition, a Texas-themed luxury model.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, inventory, and the Sequoia’s standard hybrid setup, the 2024 is the strongest all-around pick. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the value alternative to compare first.
