There are 645 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Toyota Highlander Hybrid a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2024 Toyota Highlander Hybrid stands out as a practical three-row family SUV with a strong reputation for reliability and efficiency. It offers seating for eight in lower-end versions, while higher trims use captain’s chairs in the second row, and its cabin can be configured for a large amount of cargo space when the second and third rows are folded down. Toyota also gave it a smart, well-equipped interior, with standard Android Auto or Apple CarPlay compatibility and either an eight-inch touchscreen or a 12.3-inch touchscreen depending on trim.

What makes the 2024 model especially appealing is how much standard safety and convenience equipment it brings. Toyota SafetySense 2.0 is standard, along with features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, lane departure alert, automatic high beams, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring. For 2024, Toyota also standardized a power liftgate, and Nightshade editions were introduced with blacked-out elements. The hybrid system is efficient for a large family crossover, and the available all-wheel-drive setup uses a third electric motor to drive the rear axle, helping provide traction without the complexity of a traditional mechanical system.

There are a few tradeoffs to keep in mind. The third row is described as cramped and best suited to kids, and the Highlander Hybrid is not the most exciting vehicle to drive. Even so, its mix of space, standard safety tech, and dependable hybrid powertrain makes it a compelling choice for buyers who want a sensible, well-rounded SUV.

37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you still have room to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2024 Toyota Highlander Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2024 Toyota Highlander Hybrid stands out as a practical three-row family SUV with a strong reputation for reliability and efficiency. For used buyers, that combination of a reputation for dependability and broad standard equipment suggests lower day-to-day ownership stress, especially if the vehicle has been maintained well.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Highlander Hybrid?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully so you can confirm accident status, title history, and service records before you commit. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the third row, cargo area, and interior controls, since family use can leave visible wear even on otherwise clean examples. Focus on overall condition and maintenance consistency, because those details matter most when you want a used SUV that should serve reliably for years.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Highlander Hybrid?

This is a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 645 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.97% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $43,481, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Highlander Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $44,445 sits slightly below last year's $47,267.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more selectively now, but it also means future resale gains may be more gradual. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing trend gives you a useful benchmark for setting expectations. A well-kept example with strong demand and clean history should still be easier to move than a neglected one.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Highlander Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $39,204, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $44,445 average.
• It offers an accessible base price and impressive fuel economy.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model year with strong satisfaction, broad standard safety equipment, and a healthier mix of clean inventory, the 2024 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2023 is the more budget-friendly path and still gives you the core Highlander Hybrid formula.
