Is the 2024 Subaru BRZ a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. The 2024 Subaru BRZ stands out as a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive sports coupe that prioritizes balance and driver involvement over straight-line speed, and it pairs that character with a modern cabin and solid standard equipment. Is the 2024 Subaru BRZ reliable?

The 2024 Subaru BRZ’s appeal is rooted in fun rather than brute force, and it combines that focus with a modern cabin and a solid list of standard equipment. EyeSight driver assistance is standard across the lineup, which adds confidence to the ownership experience. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about complexity and more about whether the car has been driven and maintained in line with its sporty purpose.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Subaru BRZ?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a sporty coupe can see harder use than a typical commuter car. Put inspection priority on the car’s overall condition, especially signs of track use, curb rash, or wear that doesn’t match the mileage. Focus on how the car presents mechanically and cosmetically, since the BRZ’s value depends heavily on condition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Subaru BRZ?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 192 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.94% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,624, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Subaru BRZ's resale value?

The current average of $28,920 sits slightly below last year's $30,422.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable point, but it also means future resale will depend heavily on how well the car is kept. A clean history and strong condition matter a lot for a sports coupe like this, especially when buyers are comparing examples side by side. If you maintain it well and avoid accident history, you give yourself a better chance of holding value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Subaru BRZ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 BRZ is the right pick if you want the strongest mix of modern equipment, rear-drive fun, and a market that still offers some deal potential. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower entry price outweighs the 2024’s updated equipment and current market softness.
