What should I look for when buying a used 2024 RAM 3500?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the truck closely for signs of heavy use, especially if it was used for towing or hauling. A thorough pre-purchase inspection is especially important if you want the upscale features and capability to still feel as strong as they should.

The current average of $57,525 sits slightly below last year's $62,712.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to create better buying opportunities now, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well and keep the truck in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it comes time to resell. Heavy-duty trucks with strong demand and broad appeal can hold value better when they remain clean, well maintained, and properly documented.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
