How much does the 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter cost?

Prices have softened 11.71% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 368 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare across configurations and price points.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter a good car?

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter stands out because it blends commercial-vehicle utility with an unusually refined, highly configurable character. It is still one of the most recognizable vans on the road, and its appeal comes from being able to serve as a delivery van, shuttle, cargo hauler, work van, or camper foundation.

For 2024, the engine lineup was simplified to 170 hp or 211 hp diesel options, while a color instrument cluster display and a heated driver’s seat became standard. The battery-electric E-Sprinter also joined the lineup as a new model.

What makes the 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter especially distinctive is how much equipment and flexibility it packs into a full-size van. The third-generation model introduced Mercedes’ MBUX infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and a broad set of connectivity features, and it also offered up to 1,700 different combinations of body style, body length, cab design, payload rating, load-compartment height, and drivetrain layout.

Buyers also get the benefit of the Sprinter’s reputation for car-like refinement, well-shaped seats, and low road noise, along with the availability of 4Matic all-wheel drive. 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter reliable?

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter stands out because it blends commercial-vehicle utility with an unusually refined, highly configurable character. It is still one of the most recognizable vans on the road, and its appeal comes from being able to serve as a delivery van, shuttle, cargo hauler, work van, or camper foundation.

What makes the 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter especially distinctive is how much equipment and flexibility it packs into a full-size van. At the same time, the Sprinter’s complexity can be a drawback: the added electronics bring more potential for software glitches and sensor issues, and the diesel emissions hardware can be costly to maintain. For long-term ownership, that means you should budget for higher upkeep risk than you might expect from a simpler used van.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus your inspection on signs of prior body damage, heavy commercial use, or inconsistent maintenance. Because this van can be configured in so many ways, condition matters more than a generic trim comparison, so pay close attention to how the specific example was used and whether its equipment still works as intended.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what condition and configuration you want.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 368 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.71% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $50,473, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter's resale value?

The current average of $50,473 sits slightly below last year's $57,168.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now if you plan to keep the van for several years. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the van has been maintained, especially given the Sprinter’s complexity and diesel-related upkeep considerations.

Should I buy a 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.71% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2024 is a strong choice if you want the Sprinter’s refined, highly configurable formula with a lower average price than last year and a decent pool of clean listings to shop from. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still be worth comparing, but the 2024 gives you a compelling balance of inventory, value, and versatility.
