There are 3,407 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Drivers consistently praise the luxurious feel, sporty performance, stylish design, and high-quality features. The GLE also stands out for its broad range of powertrain choices and upscale presence, which gives you flexibility if you want comfort, performance, or efficiency.

The main trade-offs are fairly pedestrian handling and the fact that advanced safety features are not standard. For you, that means the GLE makes the most sense if you value a polished luxury SUV experience more than sharp driving dynamics.

It also shows 35.9% good and great deals, which is a decent sign of market availability for shoppers who are ready to compare listings.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as luxurious, stylish, and high-quality, and they also point to the kind of ownership experience that feels dependable over time when the vehicle is maintained properly. The ownership trade-off is cost: drivers call out significant depreciation and expensive maintenance, so long-term running costs can add up quickly for used buyers.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim or heavily optioned example. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and whether the features you want are actually present on the specific listing, since equipment can vary a lot.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes the GLE 350, GLE 450, GLE 580, AMG GLE 53, AMG GLE 63 S, and GLE 450e. The base setup gives you standard 4Matic all-wheel drive and seating for five, while a small third row is available if you want occasional extra passenger space.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 255-horsepower entry engine, a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder, a 4.0-liter V8, or the plug-in hybrid 450e. The plug-in hybrid is the standout for balancing performance and efficiency, and it can drive on electric power for meaningful range.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring is standard, while the Driver Assistance Package Plus adds active blind-spot monitoring with steering intervention, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with steering assist, and lane-change assist. That package adds nearly $2,000.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 12.3-inch MBUX screen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system also supports augmented reality navigation, though the wireless phone integration may be inconsistent in some cases.
• Fuel efficiency: The plug-in hybrid is rated at 58 MPGe in hybrid mode and 24 mpg on gasoline alone. The GLE 350 is rated at 23 mpg combined, the GLE 450 at 22 mpg combined, and the GLE 580 at 17 mpg combined.

Which 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE trim should I buy?

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered in 6 trim levels: GLE 350, GLE 450, GLE 580, AMG GLE 53, AMG GLE 63 S, GLE 450e.

Here's the short version:

• GLE 350: This is the entry point if you want the most accessible way into the lineup, but you should expect the fewest performance and efficiency extras compared with the higher trims.
• GLE 450: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds a stronger six-cylinder setup while staying below the V8 and AMG models.
• GLE 580: Choose this if you want the V8-powered version and are willing to pay for the extra performance.
• AMG GLE 53: This is for you if you want a more performance-focused setup without going all the way to the top AMG model.
• AMG GLE 63 S: This is the most aggressive performance choice in the lineup and suits buyers who want the highest-output version.
• GLE 450e: This is the trim to prioritize if you want the strongest mix of efficiency and capability, especially with its plug-in hybrid powertrain and impressive electric range.

Advanced safety features are not standard, so check whether the driver-assistance package is included on any listing you’re considering.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop carefully without waiting for a dramatic bargain shift.

• Deal availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,407 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.05% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $55,842, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $55,842 sits slightly below last year's $62,080.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may pressure future resale returns if you plan to sell later. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s average.

The GLE’s broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction can help support demand over time, but depreciation remains a real factor you should keep in mind.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE safe?

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE has not received an overall or frontal crash rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), but it earned a five-star rating for a side crash and four-out-of-five stars for a rollover.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Blind-spot monitoring is standard, and the Driver Assistance Package Plus adds active blind-spot monitoring with steering intervention, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with steering assist, and lane-change assist. Those features work as advertised, and the adaptive cruise control is especially good.

The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you’ll want to verify whether a given used example includes the package if that matters to you.

Should I buy a 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• A facelift brings an upgraded interior, updated infotainment, and a new plug-in hybrid option.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $48,534, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $55,842 average.
• It emphasizes prestige, performance, and practicality with agile handling.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $61,390, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $55,842 average.
• It adds new configurations and paint colors while staying focused on family-friendly luxury.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version with the strongest mix of powertrain variety and updated tech, the 2024 is the better target. If your priority is lower purchase price, the 2023 is the more budget-friendly path.
