Is the 2024 Lincoln Aviator a good car?

The 2024 Lincoln Aviator stands out as a midsize, three-row luxury SUV that leans hard into Lincoln’s traditional focus on quiet luxury and refinement. It pairs smooth power with a hushed interior and sumptuous materials, while its size makes it easier to maneuver in urban settings than the larger Navigator. It also fits family duty well, though the third row is best suited for occasional use rather than constant adult occupancy.

What makes the 2024 Aviator especially appealing is its mix of comfort and technology. Standard equipment includes second-row bench seats, three-zone climate control, Sync 3 infotainment with a touchscreen, automatic emergency braking, blind spot information system, rear cross-traffic alert, lane keeping system, and automatic headlights. Available features add a 14-speaker Revel audio system, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive steering, an adaptive suspension with road preview, and a heated steering wheel. It also offers Lincoln’s Phone As A Key, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, with wireless CarPlay appearing in 2024.

Performance is another strength. The 2024 model is available with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 in gasoline form or as a plug-in hybrid, and both versions bring strong output. The gas model delivers 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque, while the plug-in hybrid raises that to 494 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque and adds 21 miles of all-electric range. On the downside, the Aviator’s third row is cramped, Sync 3 is dated on used models, and rear visibility is poor.

33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a meaningful chance to find a competitive offer.

For long-term ownership, you should expect the usual used-luxury-SUV tradeoffs: higher repair exposure if prior maintenance was inconsistent and more complexity if you choose a heavily optioned example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Lincoln Aviator?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing’s condition matches the seller’s description. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with advanced options. Focus on interior wear, electronics, and evidence of uneven maintenance, since those details matter most on a luxury SUV like this.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Lincoln Aviator?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,445 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.16% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $48,730, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Lincoln Aviator's resale value?

The current average of $48,730 sits slightly below last year's $54,852.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than just model-year freshness. If you keep the vehicle clean, well maintained, and lightly worn, you’ll be in a better position to protect value when it’s time to sell.

Should I buy a 2024 Lincoln Aviator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.16% compared with last year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $41,746, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $48,730 average.
• It emphasizes quiet, comfort-focused luxury with a serene cabin.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $58,830, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $48,730 average.
• It adds fresher styling and more advanced technology.

The 2024 is the best all-around path if you want a strong mix of price, inventory, and condition. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the better value play, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the newer design and tech and are willing to pay more.
