You should still run a history report to confirm the vehicle’s background and verify that the listing matches the seller’s claims. What is the 2024 Lexus GX's resale value?

The current average of $79,098 sits slightly below last year's $85,247.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled compared with a year ago, which can help you buy more selectively now. For a future seller, that also means resale performance will likely depend on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is equipped. Well-kept examples should still draw interest because the GX has a clear identity and broad appeal among shoppers who want luxury plus capability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Lexus GX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $54,998, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $79,098 average.
• It offers old-school body-on-frame appeal with a V8 and traditional SUV character.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $85,928, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $79,098 average.
• It adds a more polished, well-rounded package with strong standard tech and safety.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around choice if you want the newest redesign, strong capability, and a healthier used-market price than the 2025. If your priority is saving money and you value traditional SUV character over the latest design, the 2023 is the better value path.
