Is the 2024 Lexus GX a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Lexus GX earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview shows a luxury SUV that leans hard into capability while still delivering upscale touches, more passenger and cargo space than before, and a more modern design. It also gives you a wide trim spread, so you can shop from convenience-focused versions to more rugged off-road setups depending on how you plan to use it. Is the 2024 Lexus GX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview points to a vehicle built around genuine capability, with full-time four-wheel drive and off-road-focused trims that add hardware meant for tougher use. It also emphasizes an upscale cabin and a broad trim walk, which suggests Lexus designed this model year to balance durability-minded utility with everyday comfort. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a capability-first luxury SUV can be more expensive to live with if you prioritize efficiency and low running costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Lexus GX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any listing you’re seriously considering, especially if you want to confirm the vehicle’s condition and ownership background. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the drivetrain, suspension, and any off-road equipment if the truck has been used beyond pavement. Focus on cabin wear, tire condition, and signs of hard use, since those details can tell you more than the odometer alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Lexus GX?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep buyer’s-market discount.

• Deal availability: 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.42% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $78,052, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Lexus GX's resale value?

The current average of $78,052 sits slightly below last year's $84,310.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also temper near-term resale upside. If you plan to sell later, the current softness means your return will depend heavily on how well you preserve condition and how desirable your trim and equipment package are when you list it. Strong demand for well-kept examples should still help support value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Lexus GX or consider a different year?

• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $54,709, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $78,052 average.
• It offers old-school ruggedness with a V8 and traditional SUV character.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $85,001, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $78,052 average.
• It adds a more polished, well-rounded package with strong standard tech and safety.

The 2024 is the best all-around pick if you want the newest redesign, strong capability, and a broad mix of trims. If price matters most, the 2023 is the value play, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the latest refinement and are willing to pay more.
