Used 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar for Sale nearWest Palm Beach, FL

How much does the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar cost?

Prices have softened 12.62% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 547 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar a good car?

The 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar earns a 6.33/10 expert rating, and its appeal starts with stylish design, a comfortable cabin, and a powerful engine.

The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

That lines up with the Velar’s role as a luxury SUV for five that aims to feel distinctive rather than obvious. The trade-offs are clear: the technology can still be unintuitive, there are minor quality oversights, and the steering assist is unimpressive.

For you, that means the Velar makes the most sense if you value style, comfort, and a strong personality more than the easiest-to-live-with controls. The market also shows 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar reliable?

The 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar is presented as a premium SUV with a strong engine, standard all-wheel drive, and a cabin that emphasizes comfort and design, but it also brings some ownership complexity through its technology and premium positioning.

Its turbocharged inline-six with mild-hybrid technology is described as smooth and well suited to the vehicle, and the standard all-wheel-drive system and Terrain Response modes support confident everyday use. The infotainment system adds over-the-air updates and wireless smartphone integration, but the interface is still described as more complex than before.

The cost-effectiveness commentary also points you toward the main ownership reality: this is a premium vehicle that asks you to make peace with its tech and avoid unnecessary frustration. For a used buyer, that means long-term ownership risk is less about outright capability and more about whether you’re comfortable living with a system that can be distracting and occasionally fussy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing shows signs of heavy use or cosmetic wear. Focus on cabin condition, technology operation, and whether the vehicle’s controls and driver-assistance features behave the way you expect during a test drive.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base S variant is the starting point, while the Dynamic SE adds a more powerful turbocharged six-cylinder engine, upgraded paint and wheels, a Black Exterior Pack, and a Cold Climate Pack. The cabin design is a major part of the appeal, but the base setup still leaves you with the same touchscreen-heavy control layout.
• Powertrain: The standard engine is a 247-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder, while the upgraded turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder with mild-hybrid technology produces 394 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. The six-cylinder is the better fit if you want stronger acceleration and a more fitting powertrain for this SUV.
• Safety package: Every 2024 Velar comes with a comprehensive collection of advanced driving assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control with a speed-limited function and Adaptive Cruise Control with Steer Assist. The lane-centering system is standard, but the steering assist itself is the weak link.
• Infotainment: The standard setup centers on an 11.4-inch touchscreen with over-the-air software updates, Amazon Alexa compatibility, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wireless Android Auto. It also includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, while a head-up display and surround-view camera are available.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbo four-cylinder is rated at 23 mpg in combined driving, while the turbo six-cylinder is rated at 21 mpg combined. In testing, the six-cylinder returned 19.5 mpg.

Which 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar trim should I buy?

The 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar is offered in 2 trim levels: S and Dynamic SE.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Velar experience with the standard powertrain and the model’s stylish design and comfort focus. It makes sense if you want the look and feel of the Velar without paying for the more heavily equipped version.
• Dynamic SE: This is the better-value choice if you want the stronger turbocharged six-cylinder engine, and it also brings the more upscale appearance and comfort upgrades noted in the test vehicle. If you want the Velar to feel more complete, this is the trim to target.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, so you’re not choosing between trims for core driver-assistance coverage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 547 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $40,848, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar's resale value?

The current average of $40,850 sits slightly below last year's $46,750.

That price movement suggests the Velar has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help you as a used buyer. If you buy well now, you may avoid some of the steepest early value loss that hits premium SUVs.

For a future seller, the flip side is that resale value will likely depend heavily on condition, equipment, and how well the vehicle’s technology and cabin hold up over time. A clean, well-optioned example should be easier to move than one with visible wear or unresolved electronic annoyances.

Is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar safe?

The 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2024 Velar comes with a comprehensive collection of advanced driving assistance systems, and the adaptive cruise control works well overall. It includes a speed-limited function, and the vehicle also has Adaptive Cruise Control with Steer Assist, which combines adaptive cruise with lane-centering assistance.

The caveat is Steer Assist itself: it struggles to track accurately through bends, can add unwanted steering inputs, and can become indecisive in more complex traffic situations. The optional head-up display helps make the safety-system status easier to understand, but the lane-centering behavior remains the main safety-related frustration.

Should I buy a 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.62% compared with last year.
• This year brings design and comfort enhancements plus improvements to the standard infotainment system.

The bottom line: If you want the most appealing version of the Velar’s design, comfort, and tech updates, the 2024 model is the one to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully and focus on the best-equipped, cleanest example rather than stretching for a newer year.
