Yes — the 2024 Kia Soul earns a 5/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a practical, value-conscious subcompact hatchback with a lot of space inside. The 2024 Kia Soul’s overview points to some reliability concerns in the model line, so you should treat condition and maintenance history as especially important. That makes a careful pre-purchase check worthwhile, particularly if you plan to keep the car for the long haul.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Soul?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the car closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or incomplete repairs. Focus on overall condition, because a clean-looking listing is not a substitute for documented maintenance and a thorough inspection. If possible, have a trusted mechanic review the car before you commit.

What is the 2024 Kia Soul's resale value?

The current average of $18,084 sits slightly below last year's $18,580.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also suggests future sellers may face some downward pressure if the market stays similar. A model that holds buyer interest through its distinctive styling and practical packaging can still support resale demand, especially when it has strong condition and clean history. If you buy well and keep the car maintained, you improve your odds of getting a better return later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Soul or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 40.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $17,179, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $18,084 average.
• It offers a more straightforward value-focused setup with practical packaging and strong everyday usefulness.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market mix of deal availability, cleaner inventory, and a softer price trend, the 2024 is the better primary target. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2023 is the smarter secondary path and still gives you the Soul’s practical, distinctive character.
