How much does the 2024 Jeep Wrangler cost?

Prices have softened 12.57% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 7,363 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare by trim, mileage, and condition.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4.5/5 from owners and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Drivers consistently praise its off-road capability, rugged style, and manual transmission option. The review summary also points to strong capability and a distinctive character that stands out from more comfort-focused SUVs.

The trade-offs are clear: it still rides poorly on pavement, and advanced safety features are not standard. It’s best suited to you if you want trail performance and open-air personality more than everyday refinement.

With 37.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary points to a vehicle that owners trust for its off-road capability and rugged character, which often goes hand in hand with confidence in long-term use. It also suggests the Wrangler delivers the kind of durable, purpose-built experience buyers expect from this nameplate.

The expert review reinforces that dependability angle by describing the Wrangler as a proven off-road machine with a long-running formula and multiple powertrain choices. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a hard-used example may show wear from trail duty, so condition matters more than mileage alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Jeep Wrangler?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the Wrangler may have seen trail use. Focus on signs of underbody damage, suspension wear, tire condition, and any evidence of modifications or hard off-road use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Sport misses some of the more capability-focused equipment found higher up, while the Willys adds Offroad+ mode, 33-inch tires, a rear locking differential, and rock rails. The Rubicon X and Rubicon 392 are the most visually and mechanically aggressive models mentioned, with larger tires on the most capable versions.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder, a 2.0-liter plug-in hybrid, a 3.6-liter V6, or a 6.4-liter V8. The 4xe stands out for its 21 miles of all-electric range and strong torque, while the V8 is the most powerful option.
• Safety package: Forward collision warning is standard on all but the base model, while blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and park assist are optional except on the High Altitude and 392 models. There is no lane-keeping assist or lane-follow feature.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 12.3-inch center screen with Uconnect5, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and over-the-air-friendly modern software behavior. Navigation is optional.
• Fuel efficiency: The 4xe returns 49 MPGe combined in prior-year testing, while the V8 was rated at 14 mpg combined. Most other models were in the 20-23 mpg combined range.

Which 2024 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 7 trim levels: Sport, Sahara, Willys, Rubicon, Rubicon X, Rubicon 392, and High Altitude.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it’s the trim where you’ll feel the biggest feature gaps, especially if you want more off-road hardware or advanced driver aids.
• Sahara: This is the better choice if you want a more road-oriented Wrangler with the look and feel of the lineup but don’t need the most aggressive trail gear.
• Willys: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds Offroad+, 33-inch tires, a rear locking differential, and rock rails without jumping all the way to Rubicon pricing.
• Rubicon: Choose this if you want the classic serious-trail Wrangler setup, including the Rock-Trac transfer case and the most capability-focused hardware.
• Rubicon X: This is for you if you want the most capable-looking Wrangler with the upgraded visual and tire presence called out in the review.
• Rubicon 392: Pick this if you want maximum straight-line punch and the most extreme performance character in the lineup.
• High Altitude: This is the upscale choice, and it also gets the safety-package advantage noted in the review.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Jeep Wrangler?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively without expecting deep distress pricing across the board.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 7,363 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.57% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,286, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $37,286 sits slightly below last year's $42,648.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now but may temper near-term resale upside if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the key advantage is that the Wrangler still has strong enthusiast appeal, especially among buyers who want off-road capability and open-air character.

Because demand tends to stay strongest for well-kept, well-equipped examples, condition and trim choice will matter a lot when it’s time to resell. Models with desirable capability features and clean histories should be easier to move than worn or heavily modified trucks.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler safe?

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler has not yet been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep finally added first- and second-row side-curtain airbags for 2024, which is an important improvement. Forward collision warning is standard on all but the base model, while blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and park assist remain optional unless you choose the High Altitude or 392 models.

There’s still a notable gap in the safety story: there is no lane-keeping assist or lane-follow feature available. That means you should treat the Wrangler as a vehicle with improved safety equipment for 2024, but not one that matches the driver-assistance coverage of more road-focused SUVs.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a mid-cycle refresh focused on technology, safety, and refinement.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $35,016, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $37,286 average.
• It offers the same core off-road-first identity with multiple powertrain choices.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $36,539, the 2025 costs less than the current year's $37,286 average.
• It adds standard power windows and door locks, plus new colors and broader standard equipment.

The bottom line: If you want the most updated Wrangler in this price band, the 2024 is the better primary target because it brings meaningful tech and safety improvements without losing the model’s core appeal. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better value play, while the 2025 is worth a look if you want a newer model with added standard convenience features.
