How much does the 2024 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 7,684 listings available, which suggests you should have a healthy range of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 4.6/5 model, and the expert rating is 8.5/10. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the Tucson’s great features, sleek design, and value for money. The spacious interior and modern technology also come through as recurring positives, which fits a compact SUV that aims to be practical and easy to live with.

The trade-offs are worth noting: the infotainment system can be frustrating, and the powertrain is described as disappointing in some respects. Even so, the Tucson’s broad appeal makes sense if you want a well-rounded small SUV with a modern cabin and strong equipment levels.

Good and great deals account for 39.0% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle people feel good about living with over time, especially because the Tucson is seen as a strong value with useful features and a spacious, modern interior. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Tucson is well-rounded, with comfort, space, and technology working together in a way that supports everyday dependability.

Hyundai’s 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty adds another layer of ownership confidence. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the concept of the vehicle and more about making sure the specific example you choose has been maintained well and hasn’t picked up avoidable wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Hyundai Tucson?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any Tucson you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a close inspection of the cabin controls, infotainment behavior, and overall condition, since those are the areas most likely to affect day-to-day satisfaction. It also makes sense to compare trims carefully, because equipment changes meaningfully as you move up the lineup.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE starts with 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, two USB ports, remote keyless entry, a manually adjustable driver’s seat, HD radio, power windows, and an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. The SEL adds push-button start, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless device charging, and two more USB ports. The XRT adds unique black 19-inch alloy wheels, side steps, dark exterior trim, functional roof racks, and features from the SEL Convenience Package. The Limited adds ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, genuine leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, an upgraded Bose premium stereo system, and memory settings for the driver’s seat.
• Powertrain: The Tucson uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 187 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive. It is the only non-hybrid powertrain offered, and the expert evaluation notes that it can feel underwhelming when you need stronger acceleration.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Limited adds front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera system, Smart Park remote-parking, and a blind-spot camera system.
• Infotainment: The base system uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. SEL Convenience, XRT, and Limited trims upgrade to a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a fully digital instrument panel, but wireless phone connectivity is lost on those trims.
• Fuel efficiency: The front-wheel-drive model returns 25 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined. The all-wheel-drive model returns 23 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined.

Which 2024 Hyundai Tucson trim should I buy?

The 2024 Hyundai Tucson is offered in 4 trim levels: SE, SEL, XRT, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the value play if you want the Tucson’s core strengths without paying for extras. You still get the 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a strong standard safety suite, so it covers the essentials well.
• SEL: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds push-button start, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• XRT: Choose this if you want the Tucson’s added styling and the SEL Convenience Package equipment bundled in, including synthetic leather upholstery and a larger touchscreen with navigation.
• Limited: This is the most feature-rich choice, with ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, Bose audio, memory settings, and the most advanced parking features.

The standard safety package is already broad, while the Limited adds the most parking and camera technology.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 39.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 7,684 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,543, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $23,471 sits slightly above last year's $23,270.

That small increase suggests the Tucson has held its value reasonably well, which is a good sign if you plan to sell later. A stable price trend usually means the market sees the model as a dependable, mainstream choice rather than a vehicle with volatile demand.

For you, that can translate into a more predictable resale path if you buy at the right price today. The Tucson’s broad appeal, strong feature content, and steady market positioning should help it remain easy to shop and easy to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson safe?

The 2024 Tucson earns Good ratings in most phases of IIHS crash testing, an Acceptable rating for its standard headlights, and a Superior score for crash-prevention technology. It also earns five-star ratings in a frontal crash test and four-star ratings in a rollover test from NHTSA.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The Limited trim adds front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera system, Smart Park remote-parking, and a blind-spot camera system. That gives you the most complete safety and parking package in the lineup.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The expert verdict calls it a well-rounded small SUV and a good value, with strong safety and a broad mix of useful features.

The bottom line: If you want the Tucson’s current mix of value, safety, and equipment, the 2024 is an easy year to target. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, you may also want to compare nearby model years and shop whichever one gives you the best condition and deal combination.
