Yes — owners give it 5/5, which is a strong signal that it delivers on what shoppers want. That lines up well if you want an electric crossover that feels practical for everyday use without giving up comfort or responsiveness. Is the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 reliable?

The owner feedback points to a reliable, dependable ownership experience, with praise for the great warranty and the kind of trouble-free practicality buyers often want from a modern EV. The repeated confidence in its charging, ride quality, and everyday usability suggests it’s a vehicle many owners feel they can count on. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been cared for properly, since condition still matters even when satisfaction is high.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report so you can confirm the car’s background and spot any prior damage or title issues. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the battery-related systems, charging equipment, tires, brakes, and suspension feel, since those are the areas most likely to affect your ownership experience. It’s also smart to focus on overall condition and trim-specific features so you know whether the listing matches the price you’re being asked to pay.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5?

This is a moderate market, so selective buyers can still find value if they shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,132 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.55% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,904, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5's resale value?

The current average of $27,380 sits slightly below last year's $31,311.

That decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price more competitively than owners did a year ago. The good news is that strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it’s time to sell. If the car stays in clean condition and remains well maintained, it should still appeal to shoppers looking for a practical EV with broad everyday usefulness.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It adds a new adventure-ready trim.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better primary pick if you want a well-liked EV with strong owner satisfaction, good inventory depth, and softer pricing. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2024’s current market makes it the smarter value play; if you want the newest version with a fresh trim option, the 2025 is worth a look.
