The 2024 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid is a spacious and functional compact sedan with sharp styling and a fuel-efficient, gas-electric hybrid powertrain. ## What’s New for the 2024 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid For the 2024 model year, the Hyundai Elantra Hybrid receives a mildly updated exterior as well as tech and safety enhancements within. ## Design The Elantra Hybrid’s front and rear fasciae have been refined for 2024, including sleek headlights. Trims for the Elantra Hybrid are Blue and Limited. The Blue comes equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels, and the Limited upgrades to 17-inch alloy wheels. The Blue comes with LED headlights and the Limited adds LED taillights. ## Powertrain The 2024 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid features a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, paired with an electric motor to make a combined 139 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This is different from many other hybrids, which use continuously variable transmissions (CVTs). The dual-clutch setup makes for a more engaging driving experience. It also features a Drive Mode Select button with Sport, Normal, and Smart drive modes. The Blue trim returns EPA-estimated fuel economy of 53 mpg city, 56 highway, and 54 combined. All other trims return fuel economy of 49 mpg city, 52 highway, 50 combined. ## Interior Standard equipment on the Elantra Hybrid Blue trim includes six-way power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, dual front USB ports, dual rear-seat USB port, dual-zone automatic climate control, and remote keyless entry. Stepping up to the Limited trim adds synthetic leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, driver’s seat memory settings, driver’s seat lumbar adjustment, dynamic voice recognition, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, auto-dimming rearview mirror, ambient LED cabin lighting, and Hyundai’s Digital Key 2.0. The Elantra Hybrid provides up to 14.2 cubic feet of trunk space, which is the same as the non-hybrid Elantra and is quite spacious for a compact sedan. It also comes standard with a hands-free power trunk lid. ## Technology The Elantra Hybrid comes equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen. It runs an intuitive infotainment system and includes standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as navigation and a fully digital instrument panel. The Limited trim adds wireless device charging and a Bose premium stereo system. ## Safety Standard driver-assistance features on the Elantra Hybrid include forward collision avoidance, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, driver-attention warning, and lane-departure warning.
