Used 2024 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearNew Orleans, LA

How much does the 2024 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 4.59% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,570 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated truck with an expert rating of 7.3/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spaciousness, and user-friendly features, and they also like its attractive pricing compared with other trucks. The Ridgeline’s easygoing daily-driver character and practical layout fit well if you want truck utility without a harsh ride.

The trade-offs are its irritating transmission and unimpressive towing capacity, along with limited off-roading capability. That makes it best for you if you value everyday livability and versatility more than maximum work-truck muscle.

The market shows 38.9% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there’s still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners’ feedback points to a truck that feels dependable, comfortable, and easy to live with over time. The expert evaluation also emphasizes its tried-and-true V6 powertrain and its strong real-world usability, which supports the case for trouble-free ownership.

You also get complimentary scheduled maintenance for two years or 24,000 miles, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that age-related wear on tech, transmission behavior, and off-road hardware can matter more than mileage alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Ridgeline?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage truck or one with visible wear. Focus on how the truck drives, how the transmission behaves, and whether the cabin tech and driver-assistance features work smoothly.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport, RTL, TrailSport, and Black Edition each bring different equipment, and the base trim benefits from newer tech and safety upgrades that help it feel less stripped down.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 280-horsepower V6 with a nine-speed automatic and AWD, and the setup is tuned more for smooth daily driving than hard-core capability.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard, and the Sport now adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert; the system includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist with road departure mitigation, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights.
• Infotainment: You get a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, and a 7-inch digital display; the Black Edition adds HD Radio, extra USB ports, and an eight-speaker premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: In testing, the TrailSport returned 19.4 mpg, just short of its official 20 mpg combined rating.

Which 2024 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, TrailSport, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the best-value choice if you want the core Ridgeline experience with the updated 9-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, and standard Honda Sensing safety tech.
• RTL: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and added comfort-oriented touches without moving all the way up the range.
• TrailSport: This is the one to pick if you want the most rugged-looking Ridgeline and the off-road suspension, all-terrain tires, and underbody protection that come with it.
• Black Edition: Go here if you want the most premium presentation and the extra audio and connectivity upgrades.

The Sport now gets blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while the rest of the lineup builds from there.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Ridgeline?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,570 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.59% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,178, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $34,178 sits slightly below last year's $35,823.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable point, but it also means the truck has already absorbed some depreciation. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests resale values may stay under pressure unless demand strengthens.

Strong owner satisfaction can help support future demand, especially for a truck that buyers see as practical and easy to live with. Well-kept examples should remain appealing to shoppers who want comfort and utility over maximum capability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2024 Honda Ridgeline earns an Acceptable instead of Good score in the IIHS small overlap frontal-impact test, and the IIHS rates its headlights as Marginal.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard, and it includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist with road departure mitigation, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. The Sport also adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.

The main caveat is that the driver-assistance tech can feel a bit intrusive, with false lane-departure warnings and a noticeable steering-wheel wobble at times. The Road Departure Mitigation system can also react abruptly, so you’ll want to stay alert even with the safety suite engaged.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• This year adds a TrailSport trim, updated tech, and a more truck-like interior.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,109, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $34,178 average.
• It emphasizes practicality, comfort, and useful storage.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $35,821, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $34,178 average.
• It carries over the Ridgeline’s easy-to-live-with formula with comfort and clever storage.

The bottom line: If you want the most appealing version of this truck’s formula, the 2024 is the best primary choice. If price matters most, the 2023 is the smarter value play.
