What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda HR-V?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every listing you seriously consider, even if the market looks clean overall. Put inspection priority on the condition of the body, interior, tires, and any signs of prior repair or heavy wear. Focus on how the vehicle presents in person, because a clean listing can still hide issues that matter once you own it.

What is the 2024 Honda HR-V's resale value?

The current average of $25,659 sits slightly above last year's $25,476.

That small increase suggests the HR-V has held its value fairly well in the near term. For a future seller, that kind of stability is encouraging because it points to steady buyer interest rather than sharp depreciation. The combination of practical appeal and consistent demand should help support a reasonable resale position if you keep the vehicle in good condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda HR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $23,660, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $25,659 average.
• It brings a redesigned look with a fresh, modern feel.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around shopping target, the 2024 is the better primary choice because it combines steady pricing, solid inventory, and strong owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in good condition with the features you want.
