Is the 2024 Genesis GV70 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Genesis GV70 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.

It stands out as a distinctive take on the small luxury SUV theme, with stylish design and impressive technology giving it a more individual personality than many rivals. It also offers multiple powertrain options, including an all-electric powertrain option, which adds versatility and broadens its appeal.

The main trade-offs are poor ergonomic design and ride and handling that are merely adequate. Even so, if you want a fresh-feeling luxury crossover with strong tech and a broader range of powertrain choices, it makes a compelling case.

The 2024 Genesis GV70 is described as still very fresh, and its overall package leans on style, technology, and a well-executed electric variant. Its powertrain lineup is broad, and the gasoline and electrified versions are both presented as competent choices for shoppers who want something distinctive in the segment.

The performance notes also point to a capable, well-rounded setup rather than a fragile or overly complicated one. Genesis backs the model with generous warranty coverage, including a 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty and a five-year, 60,000-mile new vehicle warranty.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the GV70’s strengths are more about refinement and features than simplicity, so condition and maintenance history matter.
