Is the 2024 Genesis G80 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Genesis G80 earns a 5/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a luxury sedan that pairs strong value with a polished, modern presentation. It also stands out for standard all-wheel drive, a wide 27-inch OLED screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a cabin that feels thoroughly equipped and easy to live with. If you want a well-appointed midsize luxury sedan that remains a compelling alternative to pricier German rivals, this model year fits that use case well. 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Genesis G80 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2024 Genesis G80 is described as a legitimate contender in the midsize luxury sedan segment, with standard advanced driver-assistance systems adding everyday usefulness and a luxurious interior supporting its premium feel. Its technology can be unintuitive, and its performance is fairly pedestrian, but the overall package still points to a car that should be manageable for used buyers who prioritize comfort and value. For long-term ownership, the main risk is that you may need to live with a few usability compromises rather than major durability concerns.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Genesis G80?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.5% — always verify the vehicle history report. You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the electronics, since the technology can be unintuitive and the cabin is heavily screen-based. Focus on overall condition, feature operation, and maintenance records so you know the car has been cared for as carefully as it appears.

What is the 2024 Genesis G80's resale value?

The current average of $42,603 sits slightly below last year's $46,748. That kind of price movement suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively if they want to move the car quickly. The G80’s strong value proposition and premium positioning can help support demand, especially if the vehicle is well equipped and in clean condition. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Genesis G80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $52,924, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $42,603 average.
• It adds a refreshed, more sophisticated feel with stronger emphasis on design and ride quality.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2024 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with strong satisfaction and decent deal availability. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer-feeling cabin and a more polished overall presentation, the 2025 is the secondary path worth considering.
