New & Used 2026 Genesis G80 for Sale nearMarietta, GA

Is the 2026 Genesis G80 a good car?

The 2026 Genesis G80 earns an 8.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

That score lines up with the car’s core appeal: it is a midsize luxury sedan that leans into old-school elegance, with a sumptuous cabin, premium materials, and styling that gives it real presence. It is also offered with a turbocharged four- or six-cylinder engine in several trim levels, so you can choose the version that best fits your priorities.

The trade-offs are worth noting. The brakes can feel grabby, the rear seat cushion lacks comfort, and Highway Driving Assist has some quirks.

Even so, if you want a traditional luxury sedan that emphasizes comfort, style, and a polished driving experience, the G80 makes a strong case for itself. Good and great deals account for 31.4% of listings, which suggests there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Genesis G80 reliable?

The 2026 Genesis G80 is presented as a calm, confident luxury sedan rather than a highly technical one, and that character carries over into its ownership appeal. Its 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty is a major confidence booster, and Genesis also includes complimentary scheduled maintenance plus valet service with a courtesy vehicle.

The performance side is reassuring too: both engines use a smooth eight-speed automatic transmission, and the car’s highway manners are described as quiet and isolated. The 3.5T’s twin-turbo V6 is also described as satisfying, with strong output and easy acceleration.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the basic luxury formula and more about living with a car that has some quirks in braking and driver-assist behavior, so a careful test drive matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Genesis G80?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-spec example with more equipment to verify. Focus your inspection on brake feel, rear-seat comfort, and the behavior of the driver-assistance systems, since those are the areas that drew the clearest criticism.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2.5T comes in base, Advanced, and Sport Prestige trims, while the 3.5T comes in Sport Prestige and Prestige Black. The base model misses the 18-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system, so higher trims bring a more upscale cabin experience.
• Powertrain: The 2.5T uses a turbocharged four-cylinder, while the 3.5T uses a twin-turbocharged V6 with 375 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque. Both engines use an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Highway Driving Assist combines adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, and lane-change assist. Remote Smart Parking Assist 2 is also included, and higher-spec testing showed a surround-view camera system and blind-spot monitor with camera-based blind-spot imagery.
• Infotainment: The G80 uses a 27-inch OLED display, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. It also supports saved driver profiles, fingerprint authentication, digital key technology, and over-the-air-style convenience through connected services and map updates.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.5T is rated at 18 mpg combined, while the 2.5T is rated at 23 mpg combined.

Which 2026 Genesis G80 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Genesis G80 is offered in 5 trim levels: base, Advanced, Sport Prestige, Prestige Black, and Sport Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point if you want the G80’s design, cabin quality, and standard tech at the lowest price. It gives you the core luxury-sedan experience, but it skips the 18-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system found on higher trims.
• Advanced: This is the smart step up if you want more equipment without jumping all the way to the pricier performance-oriented versions. It should suit you best if you want a better-balanced mix of value and features.
• Sport Prestige: This is the best-value trim if you want the richest feature set without going all the way to the top of the range. It is the trim that best captures the G80’s upscale personality and is the one most aligned with the car’s premium feel.
• Prestige Black: Choose this if you want the 3.5T’s more exclusive positioning and a more distinctive luxury presentation. It is the most specialized choice in the lineup.
• Sport Prestige: If you are shopping the 3.5T, this is the trim that best balances performance hardware and luxury equipment, including the head-up display and the more complete premium experience.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, but Highway Driving Assist deserves a careful test drive before you commit.

Is the 2026 Genesis G80 safe?

The 2026 Genesis G80 earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS and a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The G80’s driver-assistance suite centers on Highway Driving Assist, which combines adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, and lane-change assist for single-lane highway driving. It also includes Remote Smart Parking Assist 2, and the test vehicle added a surround-view camera system plus a blind-spot monitor with camera-based blind-spot imagery.

There is one important caveat: Highway Driving Assist was mostly impressive, but it showed some unexpected behavior during testing, including odd braking and a lane-change issue that could have put the car on the shoulder.

Should I buy a 2026 Genesis G80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• It delivers old-school elegance, a sumptuous interior, and a strong expert rating.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It offers strong value, premium materials, and a feature-rich luxury-sedan package.

The bottom line: The 2026 is the better pick if you want the most polished expression of the G80’s traditional luxury character, especially with its strong safety credentials and upscale cabin. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2025 is worth a look because it still leans heavily on value, design, and features.
