Is the 2024 GMC Yukon a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 GMC Yukon. It stands out as a full-size SUV that blends a commanding presence with a restrained, upscale look, and it is roomy and well-appointed with premium amenities, plush materials, and modern technology. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want a large family hauler with an understated design and a broad feature set rather than flashy styling. 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 GMC Yukon reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Yukon sits within a generation that has not been especially strong for reliability so far, so you should treat it as a vehicle where condition and maintenance history matter. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is worth evaluating carefully, especially if you plan to keep the SUV for many years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 GMC Yukon?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify service records, even when the market looks clean. Prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for a large SUV with lots of technology and available capability. Focus on overall condition, signs of wear, and whether the features you care about are working properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 GMC Yukon?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,661 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.99% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $61,990, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $61,990 sits slightly below last year's $72,073.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you purchase at a strong price and keep the vehicle in excellent condition, you may be better positioned when it comes time to resell. The Yukon’s premium positioning and broad appeal can help support demand, but future resale will still depend heavily on mileage, condition, and maintenance history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.99% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the current-generation Yukon’s roomy cabin, upscale feel, and modern feature set, the 2024 is the right place to focus first. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2024’s softer pricing and strong inventory make it a sensible primary target for shoppers who want a large premium SUV now.
