Why it stands out
The 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD stands out in the heavy-duty truck segment with its combination of luxury and unmatched towing capabilities. The newly introduced Denali Ultimate trim offers a plethora of features, including full-grain leather interiors, a 13.4-inch touchscreen, and technologically advanced trailer aids, making it both a luxurious and functional option for those needing serious towing capacity. Its 6.6-liter Duramax diesel V8 engine delivers a robust 470 horsepower and an impressive 975 pound-feet of torque, supporting its high towing capacity while retaining a refined driving experience. Though it excels in power and luxury, its sizable dimensions could prove cumbersome in tight parking situations, and its fuel consumption is notably higher, which potential buyers should consider when selecting their next heavy-duty truck.

The direct injection system and potential carbon buildup on the 6.6 gas V8 engines concern me - especially for long term use. GMC needs to work on developing a more reliable HD gas engine for longevity.

I’m not a fan of black. This truck had a black exterior and interior. It’s not for me. GM should offer more color choices.
