Is the 2024 Dodge Durango reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable in day-to-day use, with praise centered on smooth operation, strong power, and a comfortable driving experience. At the same time, the model’s history means you should pay close attention to maintenance records and overall condition before buying. For used shoppers, the biggest long-term ownership risk is ending up with a poorly maintained example, so a careful pre-purchase review matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Dodge Durango?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a vehicle history report first, then confirm that the listing’s condition matches the seller’s description. A thorough inspection should focus on signs of prior damage, uneven wear, and evidence of incomplete maintenance. Because this model has a history that makes condition and service records especially important, the best buys are the ones with clear documentation and no surprises.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Dodge Durango?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,012 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.23% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $32,036, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $32,125 sits slightly below last year's $35,785.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For future resale, a lower purchase price can reduce your depreciation exposure if you plan to sell later. Strong condition and documented maintenance will matter even more if you want to protect value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $33,380, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $32,125 average.
• It adds standard heated front seats and brings back the Hellcat as a regular production model.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $33,889, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $32,125 average.
• It keeps the roomy cabin and modern infotainment while leaning harder into special-edition performance.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best primary path if you want the strongest mix of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If you're especially price-sensitive, the 2024 still looks like the sweet spot versus the newer year, while the 2023 is worth a look only if its specific equipment or performance setup matters more to you than price.
