Is the 2024 Dodge Durango a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Dodge Durango earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its smooth ride, abundant features, and strong power, and the AWD setup gets positive attention for its performance and fuel efficiency. With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Dodge Durango reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights a smooth ride and strong power, and it also points to the AWD setup as a dependable-feeling part of the package. At the same time, you should pay close attention to maintenance records because used Durangos can carry long-term ownership risk if prior care was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Dodge Durango?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the vehicle closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or deferred maintenance. Because condition and maintenance history matter here, focus on how well the SUV was serviced rather than just the trim or feature list. A thorough pre-purchase inspection is especially important if you want to avoid expensive surprises later.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.58% compared with last year.

What is the 2024 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $32,256 sits slightly below last year's $35,675.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, softer current pricing can mean less immediate upside, but the Durango’s broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction can still support demand. If you keep the vehicle in clean condition and maintain it well, you improve your odds of holding value better than a neglected example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $33,224, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $32,256 average.
• It adds the Hellcat’s return as a regular-production performance highlight.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $33,653, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $32,256 average.
• It leans into a final-year, simplified lineup with modern infotainment.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best primary path if you want the strongest mix of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2023 can still be worth a look, but you should compare condition and equipment carefully before paying more for it.
