How much does the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona cost?

Prices have softened 25.07% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 154 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable selection to compare.

Is the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona is Dodge’s attempt to reinvent the muscle car for the electric era, and it keeps the retro-inspired, head-turning look while adding an all-electric powertrain. It also comes in coupe and four-door sedan body styles, which gives you a mix of old-school attitude and everyday practicality, with plenty of headroom and legroom.

The main trade-offs are that it is expensive, the Scat Pack variant has limited range, and the front trunk is small. Even so, the performance story is strong: acceleration is a major strength, and the straight-line pace is described as matching the outgoing Charger’s brag-worthy numbers.

With 35.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Charger Daytona is presented as a modernized take on a familiar formula, with a new electric platform replacing the older Charger’s dated underpinnings. That shift supports the idea that Dodge built it to feel more current in daily use, while still preserving the character that made the nameplate appealing in the first place.

Its performance notes also point to a well-sorted driving experience, with stable handling, improved steering feel, and a more premium ride than the previous Charger. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that EV-specific wear, battery condition, and charging habits matter more than they would on a conventional gas car.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a performance EV where tires, brakes, suspension, and charging behavior can reveal how the car was used. Focus on overall condition, because high-output versions and heavily optioned cars may have seen harder driving or more frequent fast charging.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The R/T and Scat Pack both add a lot of equipment, but the Plus package is where many convenience features live, including heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a wireless charging pad, a surround-view camera, and a power-operated rear hatchback. The Scat Pack also gets a larger standard display and more aggressive hardware, so you should compare equipment carefully if you want the best value.
• Powertrain: Both versions use a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, with the R/T making 456 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque, while the Scat Pack jumps to 630 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. The R/T is the more efficiency-minded choice, while the Scat Pack is the one for maximum straight-line punch.
• Safety package: Every Charger Daytona gets full-speed automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, rear parking sensors, driver drowsiness monitor, front, rear, and side parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, and active crash notification. A head-up display and surround-view camera are standard on the Scat Pack and optional on the R/T.
• Infotainment: The standard setup includes a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with UConnect 5, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, navigation, and USB-C ports for front and rear passengers. The R/T gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, while the Scat Pack makes a 16-inch display standard.
• Range & charging: The R/T is rated at 308 miles of range, while the Scat Pack can go 241 miles. Both can recharge from 20 percent to 80 percent in 24 minutes using DC fast charging.
• Battery health: Check the battery state of health, ask how often the car has been fast charged versus charged at home, and confirm how much of the battery warranty remains. A careful inspection matters most on used EVs, because charging habits and battery condition can affect long-term ownership confidence.

Which 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona trim should I buy?

The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona is offered in 2 trim levels: R/T and Scat Pack.

Here's the short version:

• R/T: This is the better-value choice if you want the Charger Daytona experience without paying for the most extreme output. It still delivers strong acceleration, standard all-wheel drive, and the core tech and safety features, while the available Plus package adds many of the comfort and convenience items most shoppers will want.
• Scat Pack: This is the one to choose if you want the most power and the most aggressive setup. It brings 630 horsepower, a standard 16-inch display, and available track-oriented hardware, but it also comes with the highest price and shorter range.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, while the head-up display and surround-view camera are standard on the Scat Pack and optional on the R/T.

• Deal availability: 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 154 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 25.07% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,734, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona's resale value?

The current average of $36,149 sits slightly below last year's $48,243.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help buyers now but may limit upside for a future seller. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking the steepest part of the depreciation hit. Strong demand for the Charger Daytona’s styling and performance should still help support interest, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona safe?

The jury is still out on the Charger Daytona’s crash worthiness since neither the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) or Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has crash tested the 2024 model year.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Dodge equips every Charger Daytona with full-speed automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, rear parking sensors, driver drowsiness monitor, front, rear, and side parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, and active crash notification. A head-up instrument display and surround-view parking camera are standard on the Scat Pack and optional on the R/T.

Should I buy a 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 25.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 brings the first all-electric Charger Daytona formula with coupe and sedan body styles.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $34,317, the 2025 costs less than the current year's $36,149 average.
• It adds a more sinister-looking coupe with stronger emphasis on personality and a more refined overall appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the current model-year Charger Daytona and value a broader used-market selection, the 2024 is the safer path. If your priority is spending less, the 2025’s lower average price makes it the more budget-friendly alternative.
