Used 2024 Chevrolet Trax for Sale nearColorado Springs, CO

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Trax cost?

Prices have softened 6.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 7,201 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Trax earns a 4.62/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its sporty design, fuel efficiency, comfort, modern technology, and value for money. The Trax is also framed as a bigger, more modern reimagining of the old entry-level formula, which makes it a better fit if you want an affordable small SUV that feels more contemporary than basic.

The main trade-offs are that it lacks all-wheel drive and some drivers may find the interior ergonomics and power delivery less satisfying. That matters most if you want a more traditional SUV setup or you’re especially sensitive to cabin layout and throttle response.

With a 36.6% good-or-great-deal rate, the market still offers some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free feel in everyday use, with praise centered on comfort, fuel efficiency, and value over time. On the road, the Trax’s powertrain is described as well sorted, and its standard active noise cancellation helps it feel more refined than you might expect from an entry-level crossover.

Chevy’s standard warranty coverage adds some ownership reassurance, but you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition when shopping used.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Trax?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, even if it looks clean on the listing page. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with incomplete service records. Focus on cabin condition, control feel, and how well the vehicle has held up to daily use, since this model’s value proposition depends heavily on getting the modern features and comfort it promises.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base LS models come with cloth upholstery, a mostly plastic interior, 17-inch steel wheels, and an 8-inch touchscreen, while higher trims add Evotex upholstery, larger wheels, and more upscale styling touches. If you want the most complete feel, the upper trims are the ones that better separate the Trax from a bare-bones commuter.
• Powertrain: The Trax uses a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine with 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive only. It is tuned for responsive everyday driving rather than outright power, and the turbo lag is described as minimal.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist are optional.
• Infotainment: LS and 1RS trims get an 8-inch touchscreen, while LT, 2RS, and Activ models get an 11-inch touchscreen and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, and wireless phone charging is offered on higher trims.
• Fuel efficiency: The Trax returns 30 mpg combined (28 mpg city, 32 mpg highway), which is a meaningful strength if you want low running costs.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Trax trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Trax is offered in 5 trim levels: LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS, and Activ.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, and it gives you the basics at the lowest price, including the standard 8-inch touchscreen and cloth upholstery. It makes sense if you want the cheapest way into the redesigned Trax, but it is also the most stripped-down version.
• 1RS: This trim adds a sportier look while staying close to the lower end of the lineup. It is a good fit if you want some style without jumping too far up in price.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the larger 11-inch touchscreen, the 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and more rear-seat convenience features. If you want the Trax to feel meaningfully more modern, this is the sweet spot.
• 2RS: This trim leans into the sportier side of the Trax with more aggressive styling and the upgraded tech package. It suits you if you want a more distinctive look and are willing to pay for it.
• Activ: This is the most rugged-looking version, with subtle faux skid plate trim and a more outdoorsy appearance. It is the right pick if you want the most unique styling in the lineup.

Safety features are not fully standard across the lineup, so if driver-assistance equipment matters to you, check the exact trim and option content carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Trax?

The market looks moderately favorable if you’re a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 7,201 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,637, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $20,637 sits slightly below last year's $21,973.

That decline suggests the Trax has become a bit more buyer-friendly in the used market, which can help you if you’re shopping now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect pricing to be sensitive to condition, mileage, and equipment level rather than assuming strong appreciation.

Because the Trax is positioned as an affordable, modern small SUV, well-kept examples with the right trim and features should remain easier to move than stripped or neglected ones. The current market trend points to steady demand, but not a lot of pricing cushion for rough-condition vehicles.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Trax safe?

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard features include automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, and a following distance indicator. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist are optional, so you’ll want to confirm exactly what’s fitted on any used example you’re considering.

The Trax also comes standard with the Teen Driver system, which can automatically activate certain safety features, mute the radio until front-seat occupants buckle up, and prevent shifting out of Park with an unbuckled seat belt. That makes it a useful family-oriented feature if you plan to share the vehicle with newer drivers.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 Trax is a thoroughly redesigned model with a bigger body, more modern tech, and a clearer identity than the older version.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned Trax with the strongest mix of style, tech, and value, the 2024 is the one to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, shop carefully for the best-condition example you can find, because the market still has enough inventory to reward patience.
