Used 2024 Buick Encore GX for Sale nearMansfield, OH

How much does the 2024 Buick Encore GX cost?

Prices have softened 4.10% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,514 listings available, which suggests healthy inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2024 Buick Encore GX a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Buick Encore GX earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

From the overview and test-drive notes, you get a refreshed subcompact crossover that looks attractive, rides smoothly, and offers impressive cargo space for its segment. It is also positioned as an economical everyday choice with a polished feel, which makes it appealing if you want comfort and usability more than speed.

The trade-offs are clear: the new touchscreen underwhelms, and performance could be better. Even so, the Encore GX fits well if you want a pleasant, practical small SUV with a premium-leaning presentation.

Good and great deals account for 35.2% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Buick Encore GX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview describes the Encore GX as a well-rounded, everyday-friendly crossover, and the expert notes reinforce that it is economical, comfortable, and easy to live with. The performance commentary also points to a decent powertrain and a smooth-riding suspension, which supports the idea that this is a low-stress vehicle for routine use.

You also get a free first vehicle service that includes an oil change, inspection, and tire rotation, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the car’s strengths are more about comfort and practicality than durability proof points you can see at a glance, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Buick Encore GX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the touchscreen, the drivetrain’s low-speed behavior, and overall interior condition, since those are the areas most likely to affect your day-to-day satisfaction. It also makes sense to compare trim equipment closely so you know which convenience and safety features are included on the exact vehicle you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The refreshed design and premium-looking glass panel help the upper trims feel more upscale, while the base setup can feel less special. The top Avenir trim adds its own unique grille and chrome trim, and the available 19-inch wheels further sharpen the look.
• Powertrain: The base Preferred trim can use a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine with 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, while all trims can be upgraded to a 1.3-liter turbocharged three-cylinder with 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. The turbo is the better pick if you want stronger response.
• Safety package: Buick’s Driver Confidence package is standard and includes lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, a following distance indicator, automatic high beams, and blind-spot monitoring. Rear park assist, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera are extra.
• Infotainment: You get an 11-inch touchscreen paired with an 8-inch digital gauge cluster under one pane of glass. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and wireless charging plus a 120-volt outlet are available.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA gives the Encore GX a combined fuel rating of 30 mpg in FWD with either engine, and AWD with the 1.3-liter engine drops combined fuel economy to 27 mpg.

Which 2024 Buick Encore GX trim should I buy?

The 2024 Buick Encore GX is offered in 3 trim levels: Preferred, Sport Touring, and Avenir.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred: This is the entry point, and it makes the most sense if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable with the base 1.2-liter engine. It gives you the core Encore GX experience, including the standard safety package and the refreshed cabin layout.
• Sport Touring: This is the trim to focus on if you want a more style-forward version without jumping all the way to the top model. It should appeal if you want a nicer look while staying close to the heart of the lineup.
• Avenir: This is the best fit if you want the most upscale presentation, including the unique grille and chrome trim called out in the test-drive notes. It is the trim that most clearly leans into the Encore GX’s premium feel.

Buick’s Driver Confidence package is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Buick Encore GX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,514 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.10% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,811, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Buick Encore GX's resale value?

The current average of $22,203 sits slightly below last year's $23,151.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For future resale, a model that is already priced below its prior-year average may face some pressure unless it stays in strong condition and remains well equipped.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Buick Encore GX safe?

The 2024 Buick Encore GX earns five-star ratings overall from NHTSA, including five-star ratings in frontal crash and side crash tests and a four-star rollover rating.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Buick’s Driver Confidence package is standard and includes lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, a following distance indicator, automatic high beams, and blind-spot monitoring. Rear park assist, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera are extra.

One caveat is that the system does not let you fine-tune automatic braking sensitivity, so you cannot adjust how early or late it intervenes. The vehicle has not yet been rated by IIHS.

Should I buy a 2024 Buick Encore GX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The refreshed model brings a new look and a flashy new touchscreen.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $21,151, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $22,203 average.
• It is comfortable and offers plenty of cargo space.

The bottom line: If you want the refreshed styling, updated cabin presentation, and stronger market availability, the 2024 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2023 is the smarter value play, especially if you find one in clean condition with the equipment you want.
