That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may depend more on condition and mileage than on broad market appreciation. If you plan to sell later, keeping the vehicle clean, documented, and accident-free should matter a lot.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW iX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 40.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $47,019, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $48,220 average.
• It added a more powerful M60 variant.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and deal availability, the 2024 is the better starting point. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2023 is worth a look, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
